More racism in Liverpool?

@Tom_S_1986: To confirm. A coin was thrown at Adeyemi. The fan was ejected. Nice to see fans or rival clubs claim it was racism"
Would the lad be reduced to tears simply by a coin being thrown at him? Hmm.

That's what I said. My missus said 'what if it hit him in the eye?'...silly woman.

Liverpool have really shot themselves in the foot over the Suarez incident. This latest race row couldn't have come at a worse time for them. Whatever they do as a club they will be criticised for. If they are too lenient they will be branded racists(again) and if they deal with them correctly they will be branded hypocrites.
Tough shit Liverpool, you made your bed...

Simple question here (as I didn't see the game); did the lad require medical treatment after the incident? I'm not talking about being consoled by ''Stevie La''™.

The way Kenny and co handled Suarez's racism showed the scousers that racism was ok.

Just spoken to a colleague who was covering the game tonight. Confirms its very much a racial incident.

Oldham's Tom Adeyemi suffers 'racial abuse' in Liverpool FA Cup tie...

From the Guardian website.

Liverpool were embroiled in another racism controversy on Friday night when a fan was suspected of shouting abuse at the Oldham Athletic defender Tom Adeyemi.

The incident occurred 10 minutes before the end of Liverpool's 5-1 win over the League One side in the third round of the FA Cup. Adeyemi became embroiled in a row with a supporter, or supporters, at the front of the Kop.

Adeyemi was visibly upset by the exchange and it required several team-mates, the Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, and the referee, Neil Swarbrick, to calm the 20-year-old down. Witnesses reported two fans wearing Luis Suárez T-shirts – similar to those worn by Liverpool players at Wigan after the Uruguayan striker was found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra – confronting Adeyemi, and one allegedly shouting "You fucking black bastard".

A senior Liverpool official said: "We will do everything in our power to investigate the matter and ensure the appropriate action is taken."

The incident could not have come at a worse time for Liverpool, given the widespread condemnation the club have received for their vehement support of Suárez.

Disgraceful. They should have them play in front of an empty stadium.

Must admit Gerard has gone up a notch in my estimation
The cynic in me can't help thinking that damage limitation was in his mind when he went over to comfort the lad. However; to give him the benefit of the doubt, it was a nice gesture by him.

I'm a cynical bastard....

Anyone think this has actually come at a better time for them?

This is a opportunity for liverpool to correct the mistakes made in the Suarez incident and actually critisise Racist's....

Making them look better???

Will make them hypocrites but tough on racism
