One who got the firework in the face certainly did.

Well you have certainly won the argument now. Well done.
I know I have, just to make sure I've won the argument I laughed at him rolling around seconds after hitting atleast five females sat on the road with his baton. Didn't look too big then.

I like that I've seen the issue of how much it actually costs for a degree raised in this thread. That, to me, is very interesting as I have never seen any figures. At the moment the assumption seems to be that because a deficit exists between tuition fees and funding, degrees are being subsidised. However, a fair proportion of the time of the lecturers and resources are devoted towards research to the point where it's uncommon, in my experience anyway, that they think of themselves as lecturers first. There was one department in particular that was absolutely unequivocal about its cynicism in providing popular courses which cost virtually nothing to run in order to get funding for research. They were completely up-front about it.

The top man at Manchester University is on about £400K a year. That, to me, is unsustainable; and, as long as they are left to do as they want, students will be exploited even though I'm sure 9k a year will be more than enough to pay for their teaching. Ideally, an education should be free but, unfortunately, our economic condition does not account for ideals.

“An education obtained with money is worse than no education at all”.

I remember when everyone feared the bobbys, they were big guys. Now you have little weeds barely able to hold the cosh. Bring back proper police and beat fuck out of gobby cunts like above in that video!

This student stereotype is ridiculous. I worked hard at school whilst a lot of my mates pissed about, therefore left with 8 A's 3 A*'s GCSE's and 4 A's at A-Level. I do a history degree aswell as work in a bar and earn about £150 a week. i dont ask for anything off my parents and hope to go into either teaching, journalism or military intelligence all which you need a degree to do. Anyone that thinks uni is a complete non-stop piss-up is seriously deluded. Bills, non-stop essay deadlines, living in shocking accomodation, dealing with scum of the earth estate agents. And yet some cocky twat living at home with mummy and daddy doing an aprrenticship in wood cutting or whatever seems to take the moral highground.

I hope you think you are clever wanting a member of the police to be hit in the face with a firework.

Very big and hard that. Your mother must be proud. Just be glad you are saying in a forum and not in a pub to someone non-amused by it as you would no doubt be upset by the reaction.

Loved it at school and really wanted to do it as a career, unfortunately I was stuck in a shit class with an even shitter fresh out of uni teacher. She got bullied we all learnt fuck all. Got an A in my mock then ended up with a E in the test because we got taught the wrong stuff!!

But for everyone like you (and me when I was there), there are half a dozen that do live up to the stereotype, and you will know that.

And I'm sure the police officers mother is proud of her son hitting females who are sat down with a metal baton, causing major head injuries.
