Morgan Gibbs-White

I don’t give a shit about Wirtz. Of course he would have been the best option but he clearly chose Pool. But Gibbs-White is not the answer either imo. Just because City is interested in a player doesn’t mean I blindly think they are the best thing since sliced bread which you clearly do.
Where the fuck did I say I thought he was the best thing since sliced bread you absolute weirdo?

I have seen him play quite a bit this season and imo he is average. There must be some hidden gem around in other leagues.
It's a strange one this. He's viewed on here by some as Maradona and Zidane rolled up into one player.

You clearly haven’t seen him play much if your only counter to why he is likely to be a bad signing is he was hard to stop in the FA cup semi final. If he was so good, I am pretty sure you would have suggested him before we got interested. Did you?

Feel like he's similar to Bernardo.

He works his ass off but he's also creative he scores and assists.

I think he'd be a great addition in the #8 role.

He’s had a good season for a decent Forest side, because he’s not a name like Wirtz or Rodrygo, he’s not good enough for you.
WHether you admit it or not He is a genuine improvement on our current central midfielders bar Rodri. I think he would be a good signing for City - in fact, if we get him I hope he’s superb and he proves the likes of you wrong. What will you complain about then?

I would want nothing more than him to prove me wrong if we sign him. People here have this weird idea that if someone opposing a transfer is proven right, they enjoy it. No one here wants anything but the best for the club and our recent history with midfielders suggest that we have been burned more often than not. That’s what People who say he can be the next Kalvin Phillips are worried about, including me. If you don’t like people complaining, maybe you should give a better counter argument in the first place instead of “He was great against our superior players”.

Bernardo's technique is world class.

MGW is not world class in any aspect of the game. he is a good player in PL. like Maddison, like Barnes etc.
would they cut it at Real or City as well? thats whole different ballpark...

People who suddenly rate him do so only after City were interested
Imagine roles were reversed and Wirtz had decided to sign for us, and Liverpool were paying big money for Gibbs White, there wouldn’t be a single poster not pissing themselves. I’m not saying Gibbs White is shite,he’s just not good enough for an elite team.

Just had the craziest thought, imagine our midfield of baleba-rodri-tijjani. I'd rather we go for baleba than MGW imo.

I really don’t see what aspect of it you’re struggling with. He represents an upgrade for us in midfield. I used an example that we struggled to contain him at Wembley to show that perhaps he is good enough for us and you’ve compared him to Adama Traore and hyper fixated on this to prove some minuscule point. I’m not sure what good this has done either of us to be honest.

It honestly feels like we're going back in time and making the same mistakes all over again-just like the Phillips deal or spending £100 million on Grealish. I really want as many English players in our squad as possible, but only if they genuinely deserve it-if they make us better and are players we'd sign no matter their passport. This isn’t that. He doesn’t improve on anyone currently in the squad, he’s clearly not a replacement for Kevin, and I can’t wrap my head around the £70 million price tag. Not £60m, not £50m, not even £40m. It’s frustrating and disappointing to see us repeat these kinds of decisions.
Bless. I'm sure you'll get over it

If he's lining up for Arsenal or Liverpool to play against us you wouldn't be in the slightest bit concerned. He's a player you take as a squad filler for a good fee if you need that which we do not, he's not a player you spend £70-80m on to be first choice.

Dippers getting wirtz and us getting MGW is a role reversal of when we signed Haaland and they signed Nunez.
