I'm pretty sure you've just been thawed out of a glacier. He isn't better than McAtee, let alone those lot.

More Bilbo than Frodo these days.Bernardo has all that in spades.
He’s an angry little hobbit.
I’m not sure pace is a requirement in a captain.More Bilbo than Frodo these days.
The coffee drinking legend is just so sloooooooow.
Has more technical ability for me. Gibbs White never looked as good at England under 17 or 21 level as McAtee. He also wasn't as highly rated as McAtee at 14-15 years old. McAtee was rated as one of the most gifted kids in the country at 14-15 years old.You can’t be serious. McAtee is nowhere near MGW
Just my opinion. I don't base my opinion off 12-24 months of Football. I've been watching McAtee since he was 16 years old in the academy. He's always stood out like Cole Palmer and Phil Foden did.I'm pretty sure you've just been thawed out of a glacier.
No I wasn’t because Palmer was clearly better than McAtee. McAtee wasn’t even the best when playing for Sheffield was quite average. Also during the games for us he was nowhere to be seen. Being better in the U21 and under doesn’t matter if u don’t make it in the next Round. Elliot was far better than McAtee as an example during the whole tournament and he is also not as good as MGW. There are other talents out there who don’t play for city my guy.Has more technical ability for me. Gibbs White never looked as good at England under 17 or 21 level as McAtee. You were probably saying the same about Cole Palmer before he left the club. Same will be said about Oscar Bobb if he doesn't get games this season.
Give McAtee the minutes Gibbs White has had and you'll see a much better player.
McAtee has had multiple chances. I like the kid and see an upside but he will never be a top tier player at this club.Just my opinion. I don't base my opinion off 12-24 months of Football. Give McAtee the minutes Gibbs White has had and you'll see a much better player who's ceiling is twice as high. Gibbs White is a decent player, nothing more. If he signs for Dortmund or Leverkusen, he will be sold on for 70-100m.
I think you're underselling him there. McAtee is a quality player. He's been a quality player since he was 14 years of age and many in the academy thought he had more natural talent than most players we've had in our academy including Palmer. Problem with McAtee is that he's a shy lad who doesn't believe in his own ability. Once the penny drops and he's given the environment where everyone around him believes in his ability, you watch him go. He's always been a confidence player. Players like Cole Palmer, Gazza and Wayne Rooney aren't intelligent enough to overthink. They have nothing between their ears.No I wasn’t because Palmer was clearly better than McAtee. Also Oscar Bobb has a talent that McAtee doesn’t have and it starts with his close control and dribbling.
McAtee having a better technical ability doesn’t matter if the other stuff doesn’t work out. There are several athletic players out there who still outplay their technical counter parts.
Neither were Jack Grealish and we spent 100 million on him. Gibbs White doesn't have anywhere near the talent Jack had before he joined us.McAtee has had multiple chances. I like the kid and see an upside but he will never be a top tier player at this club.
Replace KovaGot Reijnders, Rodri, Nico, Kovacic, Foden, Bobb, Bernardo Silva, Nico O Reilly, Cherki. No need for him. Where is he going to play?
I said I like the kid but I'm not carrying a torch blindly. Not sure measuring him against 3 of the most maligned players on the team in terms of their production last season is going to bolster your case much.Neither were Jack Grealish and we spent 100 million on him. Gibbs White doesn't have anywhere near the talent Jack had before he joined us.
McAtee scored 7 goals in 27 games last season. He scored a goal every 134 minutes. Compare that to Doku who scored 8 goals in 41 appearances scoring a goal every 279 minutes, Grealish 3 goals in 32 appearances scoring a goal every 507 minutes and Savinho 3 goals in 48 appearances, scoring a goal every 1029 minutes. He was far more productive than those ahead of him and had much less chances.
Maybe he's going to replace one of the players who doesn't play. ;)Got Reijnders, Rodri, Nico, Kovacic, Foden, Bobb, Bernardo Silva, Nico O Reilly, Cherki. No need for him. Where is he going to play?

Hopefully yes to both, I would bring in gibbs whiteCould Gundo head to turkey?
Could Kova be off ?

I tend to agree sadly. As i prefer a team of local lad. Its his first touch and even weight of pass that doesnt look great.....probably nerves! But he's had a fair few mins on the pitch to get over that.McAtee has had multiple chances. I like the kid and see an upside but he will never be a top tier player at this club.
Well said. Palmer was a classic case of not getting sufficient game time to improve as a first teamer, he was stifled at City, mainly by us splashing the cash on big name expensive players. It’s disheartening how quickly some of our fans dismiss players from our own academy. It often feels like Phil Foden has become the sole benchmark - as if a young player reaches his level immediately, they’re deemed not good enough. We saw this with Cole Palmer.
I was at the Super Cup in Athens, in his final appearance for the club, and what stood out most wasn’t just his performance - which, for me, was the best on the pitch that day — but the abuse thrown at him by grown men that day in the City section despite the fact he’d barely had a proper run in the side. Just days later, he was sold to Chelsea, where he’s since become one of the Premier League's best players. And yet, some of our supporters have turned on him, despite the fact he never even wanted to leave the club.
What makes it more frustrating is the contrast in treatment. Players like Oscar Bobb are rightly encouraged and supported, but Palmer who was a local lad who came through the ranks was criticised relentlessly. It’s hard to understand.
Similarly, James McAtee hasn’t done any worse than others in his position this season. In fact his output has arguably been better. Yet he’s regularly singled out, while others seem to escape scrutiny. Even Rico Lewis who has shown plenty of promise, gets targeted at both home and away games by a section of the younger fanbase. It's wrong.
It just feels unjust. We should be supporting our academy graduates not turning on them when they’re still developing. The academy is something to be proud of.
