Morgan Gibbs-White

Go on premierleague.com/players and search his stats
What about Grealish's stats in the treble season? Stats aren't everything. In the New Year, Forest were hovering in 2nd and 3rd in the league and MGW was widely acknowledged as their best player. He was seen as a shoe in for the next England squad.

Apparently, City had a bid rejected yesterday—reportedly in the region of €45-50 million. Milan, however, are holding out for more, and from the noise around the situation, it seems they're open to letting him go for a higher fee, likely around €65 million.

There’s talk of a gentleman’s agreement between Milan and Reijnders: if they fail to secure a Champions League spot, they won’t stand in his way. Reijnders, for his part, is said to be keen on the move to City. But he also wants to handle the situation with respect—he’s not looking to force a transfer, especially not at €45 million. He’s willing to wait, but it’s clear the interest is mutual.

There's basically zero chance of them securing a CL spot.

Don't see it, he was talking having another kid with his missus in Milan over the summer.
That doesn’t change the fact that Reijnders is still open to a move—he’s said it himself. He’s interested in joining City but won’t push for the transfer out of respect for Milan. The door is open, but he won’t be the one forcing the transfer.

If City come back with an improved offer and Milan accept, then it’s a done deal—Reijnders becomes ours. At this point, it’s entirely in City’s hands. If we don’t get him, it won’t be because of the player, his wife, the baby, or even Milan holding things up—it’ll be because City made a deliberate decision to walk away, for reasons only they know.

where was this?

No they weren't haha. Dias - we were linked to every CB under the sun and he came out of nowhere. Why rewrite history when it's all there to see.

Rodri had started 2 games for Spain and only been with Atletico for one season. They were relatively unknown.
From what I recall, Dias was always close to the top of our list, but he was totally unavailable until Benfica lost their CL qualification tie and suddenly needed to sell at the end of the summer window, which is why the signing seemed out of the blue.

Its a good job Madrid haven't won 6 of the last 11 UCLs otherwise your argument could be seen as specious.

In the 30+ years of the PL, apart from Haaland, how many genuine world class talents at or close to their peak have been signed by PL clubs? Even with KDB, did every top club in Europe want him at the time he signed?

If your idea is to out-Galactico Real Madrid then it isn't going to happen. It also goes completely against the owners vision of appointing Pep, building the academy etc.

By building a side Inter have knocked 2 of these sides with much higher turnovers out of the CL. They've stumbled in Serie A, where Italy has the 2nd highest UEFA coefficient after England, in recent weeks but are still only 3 points behind Napoli.

And generally the process is build a side to win your domestic league which then evolves, adapts and gains experience before making a real challenge to win the CL.
I would say the same for PSG and Barcelona too, neither side have bought the latest big names they have built teams with sometimes unfasionable players, bought from unlikely teams. To a point you could say the same about this years PL winners too.

You seem to be having two different conversations, which can happen, but neither one is with me or relates to anything I've said.

The only conversation I was having was that Morgan Gibbs White isn't good enough for a team that wants to be the very best. Neither as part of a squad or as a main piece.

Your last sentence says it all. Widely acknowledged by the media.. in other words the English press over-hyping him just because he's English. As for the best player at Forest not sure that is much of a testimonial

I’d rather this lad than Gibbs white ..
Gibbs White is coming no matter what. You can hope for others too. But you will get Gibbs White.

It seems we cant survive on 17 foreign players and youth players. So we have to add some homegrown.

We'll have to agree to disagree as I think he's good enough to be in a team that wins the PL which is the main objective for next season. And I don't understand why you brought Real Madrid into it.

Tell you who else aren’t infallible, posters on the internet that’s who, and they are a lot more fallible that City's sporting directors, manager and scouts.
Everyone is fallible. This is a forum to give your opinion and if you don't mind I will post mine.

He idolises Cruyff, has his shirt number and dreamt of playing there. They both love the city and want to have another kid there. He might move but i doubt it.
Not saying you're wrong, but how does a player born in 1998 idolise Cruyff? He even retired from management before he was born, never mind as a player. It'd be like players in our youth team idolising Gary Lineker.
