The most underrated player to have played for us. People carry on about Sane but this guy was levels above him.
 
Sami Mokbel was on Monday Night Club with Chappers and he said MGW had a release clause in his contract that was confidential.
Spurs then offered this and Forest are furious and are taking legal action cos no-one knew, except those connected to the player, about the clause, apparently.

Chappers said he had so many questions but thought he might be in trouble...
 
The way I am looking at it now every club knows 60 million is the release. If another club offers it will they now accept it or just refuse to let him go for that fee. He had a good season last season but so had loads of players but couldn't back it up long term.

Imagine signing a contract with a release clause that's confidential. I'd be getting a new agent/advisor if I was him.

That's what Chappers was inferring, I think.
He did actually ask, 'what's the point of a release clause?'

I think Forest's argument is/was, that question should/could have been asked at board level, but Spurs went straight in with a bid, that suggests they knew the amount.

I mean if they offered the amount of 60m flat they can’t really say it was a guess. RCs don’t have add ons typically but normal deals do

It’s an agent’s job to tout his player, should that player want to move.

It’s not against the rules for that agent to chat with other clubs.
