I couldn’t give two fucks about him winning the World Cup he took a dislike to Laporte and it wasn’t football related apparently..

Laporte admitted in the past he’s a bit of a loner and quite difficult to get along with and not very French.

He didn’t fit in with the France squad as well as the other CB options and Deschamps chose a slightly worse group of CBs with better harmony and won the World Cup and is in the 1/4 final of another so it’s very difficult to argue he made a mistake.

I didn’t say he made a mistake just his reasoning for opting for Spain mate,no point hanging around waiting on the next French manager

He's a very lucky defender. Other than his ability to kick a ball a long way across the pitch to switch play, he's nothing special.

The injury he had a couple of seasons ago was entirely down to his poor positioning and tackling with the wrong foot. He's clumsy and reactive. Not a top player imo.

He saved a certain goal this afternoon by chasing the attacker, catching him and nicking the ball off his toe just as he was about to shoot. Nothing lucky in that. It's top defending.

Oh well unlucky for Laporte and Rodri but in my opinion they weren’t going to win it anyhow so few days rest and see you’s back in Manchester lads..

Both Deschamps and Laporte played in the PL. Messi didn't! So Ruben Dias, John Stone, and any of our goalscorers have a a greater tally than Messi. The Bent-Messi comparison is flawed, dom!

What about Jack Rodwell being better than "Stevie G" then? He's got more PL medals than the slipster, after all. And they both played in Blighty!
