The bloke started to talk and it was David Gower

Some years ago, I had regular business in Dublin. My Irish oppo there said there was someone I should meet. Mind you, he said, you probably wont understand a word he says because he's a man of Cork. Was hard but things improved after a few pints of the black stuff.
It was said that the Cork lilt developed after a large influx from Wales.
