Most famous person you have met?

Flying back from Tenerife when I was a kid with my folks on the last Dan-Air comet flight into Manchester (allegedly) and we sat waiting for the flight sat next to a black Irish dude , talked for ages to my Dad

I asked my dad on the plane who it was..... Phil Lynott

When I was in the RAF I was driving into London with Kes Brown, one of the lads from work... A Quattro cuts us right up in our Metro and Kes in his Essex drawl says "who the fuck does he think he is, Stirling Moss?"

Next set of lights, we pull up next the the Audi....... Stirling bloody Moss..... On my life

I'll just name all the famous ones i've met.

Junior Witter
Lee Bowyer
Harry Kewell
Ian Harte
Paul Robinson

Made a brew for Paul Robinson and took it in to him while he was gelling his hair. In return, he bought me a Lucozade sport from a vending machine.

Tommy Booth came to our house to pick up some wallpaper once.
John Major
Sold fanzines to Ivan Lewis MP and Andy Morrison
Dave Bennett in a club in Manchester about 30 years ago

Met a fair few. Had lunch with George Osborne. Worst handshake of anyone I've ever met. Like shaking hands with a damp dishcloth. And he smokes like a chimney

The post about the cruise ship reminded me of another pair I met

We went on a Norway cruise in May, after a night on the vodka we had supper with Richard and Adam the lads off Britain's Got Talent

They must have thought I was a right funny fucker (coming out with a comment they'd heard a dozen times no doubt).... I said "just hope you don't get put up against a dog in the final"

Little did they know it would be an egg chucking woman instead

Had thanksgiving dinner with Harrison Ford a few years back. Spielberg popped over for a drink afterwards. Safe to say it was the most surreal day of my life.
