Most gut-wrenching goal we ever conceded?

5th may 1996 away to liverpool and 2-0 up. We thought that was enough to stay up. Scousers came back 2-2 (I forgot who scored) and we was time wasting thinking a point would do. How wrong was we? Anyway that second is now the killer thinking about it!

Owen's goal in Fergie time for me.
^^^This^^^

I've been gutted before, but this was the first time I ever felt physically sick when a goal was scored against us. To compound the goal and what made matters worse was the sight of Hughes complaining about the added time and being pushed away by the fourth official, who then started sharing a joke with the Glaswegian Wino!!!

It hurt so much, I've still not got over it!

I concur about Owen's 96th minute winner. Never felt so sick. Que a pile of texts and Facebook comments, it was just a horrible feeling. As was the Liverpool 2-2, typical city!

But a bizarre one for me was a 3-3 draw with Nottingham forest about 94, Jason lee scored in the 93rd min after horrendous goalkeeping from Andy Dibble. I was only 11 and felt like crying for some reason. Some bloke piped up behind us telling Dibble not to show his face in the town hall next week lol. Anyone remember this one?

A 1-0 home loss to arsenal with Ian wright scoring in 93rd min (pattern emerging). We had taken my cousin who is a gunner and he was jumping around the north stand! Although only 13 he was a big lad and my dad had to get him out before he got filled in!!

Can't believe we conceded 3 injury time goals to them lot in one season. The Owen one and the Scholes one were both bad but Rooney's tops it for me. I was sure we were going to win the cup that year. Fucking Shrek.

The game was at Maine Road mate and it was Liverpool who went 2-0 up. Steve Lomas own goal and Ian Rush. Late on City made it 2-2 before the time wasting began.

Jackie Milburn's goal first min 55 Cup Final! Totally and utterly devastated. Not got over it yet! I think a CL final win next season wouldn't expunge my total and utter devastation. A Rooney red and a Ginger Pig og in the derby might do it, though!

Definitely Owen's goal for me, for a couple of reasons.

1. The sheer injustice of it.

2. Up until that point we'd won every game that season, including beating Arsenal. I felt like we'd turned a bit of a corner from being 'typical City'.

3. I'd just started university, so I was watching the game in a pub in Scotland, the only guy in the place wearing a City shirt, surrounded by what must have been upwards of a hundred Chelsea, Liverpool, Rangers, Celtic and United fans (all of which seemed to hate us as we'd just been taken over). When Bellamy scored, the drunk me thought it was a great idea to start chanting Bluemoon and lording it over what was a very silent pub. Then that goal went in... let's just say I was laughed out of the place.

Looking back I probably deserved it. I got ahead of myself. I was just enjoying us being half decent for the first time in my life though!

Well I was 4 and started crying when a team scored haha! Either way it was horrible and didn't like. Now I'm used to goals going in against us!

Easy for me that Owens last minute to make it 4-3, the pain I felt when that went in was devastating. Especially after just equalising moments earlier, thinking about it now devastates me still.
