SWP because at the time he was the one player of any pace,class and ability we had,plus he was loved by City fans.

I remember it spreading like wildfire at Macclesfield in a pre season friendly that he was talking to Chelsea and the shock,anger and depression everyone felt.It also hammered home the fact we were finished as a top club who could compete for honours anymore and were going to be also rans and relegation fighters forever....little did we know!

Great question because we all get attached to certain city players. Probably the ones that made me sad were Anelka, Dunne, Bellamy and SWP first time round. Really thought Ireland was going to be special so a little sad it didn't work out.
