Most hated footballer.....ever?

There have been so many!!!

Current top three for me are Rooney, Young & Wellshit. I wish they were Welsh or Scottish, they will ruin the World Cup for me!!

Vinnie Jones - dirty twat. Oh, sorry, I forgot, has to be a footballer.

The old Leeds team threw up some candidates. Bremner, Norman Hunter, Grey.
That Leeds Team from numbers 1 - 11 were a bunch of cloggers, the worst being Johnny Giles.

Giles - Shite player, irritating pundit absolutely devoid of personality and charisma.

If I ignore hating players 'cos of who they play for, tough to beat Robbie bloody Savage for me.

Ferdinands a total prick, but nobody wound me up as much as watching Vassell.
I'm inclined to agree with you here mate, remembering that penalty he fluffed down the middle against the scum in eastlands still makes my blood boil. Nothing will ever erase that until we win the league in their empty shithole of a stadium.

Good question. Not my most hated as would take me a while to decide but defiantly in my top 10.

Ryan Giggs - Media lovechild pushed by the media in 2009 to win PFA player of the year and sports personality even though the horrible c*nt was hanging out of his brothers wife's shit box.

I think it's arguable to include 'hated' players for the following reasons:

- because they cheat

(Maradona being up there, along with all habitual divers.. even Henry for his handball against the Rep of Ireland)

- because they're arseholes

(Maradona being up there again)

- because they play for sides you don't like

(quite a few ManUre players would qualify and for no other reason, although Rafael is a complete arse & Camel Gob deserves his name)

and finally

- because they're dirty [your choice of derogatory word] and make up for lack of technical skill with an 'industrial' approach to the game that is a little bit more than just a 'man's man's approach'

(Keane probably gets close to the top of this list, along with Harald Schumacher)
