There are some right bitter twats on here, im a city fan but to say Cantona and Ronaldo are overated you seriously need to look at yourselfs, wankers!!

get a fuckin grip of yourself, everyone is entitled to an opinion. and nobodys thoughts should make them a wanker, specially football wise.

A lot of bitter threads here and some rag players mentioned have won lots of trophies and played for England so, to be fair, can't be that over rated.

For me, there is only one who is truly over rated in the true sense of the phrase. Considering his total transfer fees, the teams he's played for (and flopped at) and the luck he's had, bearing in mind the trouble he's also been in with the law, it can only be:

Jermaine Pennant

I would also nominate him as the player who has got most, but deserved least.

Example-Ikkle mikky Owen was dumped by Capello while at Newcastle-then goes to the rags and the entire media scream for him to be on the plane to the WC....
So many average-at-best rag players have made the England team over the years because of media obsession and little more than being...well,rags.

Ben Foster?
The seemingly bomb-proof Wes "how shit do I actually have to play to be finally dropped from the England squad" Brown?
Carrick?
Not to mention the screaming from the likes of Talkshit and the smug tossers on "Sunday supplement" for Owen Hargreaves-a player that has barely kicked a ball in two seasons- to make the WC squad in front of SWP or Lescott?

And of course-the one and only world-beating left back,Mr. Phil Neville.........;-)

Nobody outside City rates him so he can't be over-rated. Come to think of it, not many City supporters rate him!:)

I've always thought that Paul Scholes was vastly over-rated. Good pro but not the great player he's made about to be in some quarters.

Scholes up untill this season, would of got in our side, if you listen to pro's who get asked the best player you've played with, they usually say him.
