Beckham, no doubt a talented footballer but he has always been overrated. People still think he's gonna play a big part for us at the world cup, when was the last time he actually had a really good game and really made an impact for England? I can't remember myself. Probably Greece in 2001.

he's the kevin keegan of his era, made a lot of a small amount of talent.

they should release a combined biography and call it Hard Work and Haircuts, cos it's what they're both most well known for when playing!

and a mate of mine told me that in his last season, he scored 1 free kick and they got one goal from one of his 'trademark set piece' corners.

ronaldo imo ... he's is hopeless compared to players like messi and kaka. sky, the english media and journalists made him out to be the greatest ever when in reality he was nowhere near as good as the worlds elite which was proven in seen in the big games (both champs league finals, derbys, finals etc.) and international tournaments.

seriously are we actually saying that one of the worlds best players can be overrated???

hate the guy with a passion on a personal point of view but footballing wise bar messi he is world class and far from overrated!

a good example for instance kaka 15 games played 4 goals ronaldo 10 games played 12 goals for this season says enough for me.

Agree Gary Neville. Never could understand why he won so many England caps until we signed his understudy - Danny Mills!! Mills gets my vote for second most overrated player.

Anelka, Yossi Benayoun, Andrew Johnson at Palace, Cantona, Gary Neville, Ben Haim at Bolton.

Anyone can be overrated no matter how good or bad. Some people can't get their head's round it though.

how would you define overrated corky? every player no matter how good they are can not sustain this world class status they have every game you just have to look at messi and playing for Argentina in the world cup qualifiers as an example!
