Yeah there's been a few of those over the years. I always wondered how a professional footballer who plays the game 6 days a week can miss so badly. Adrian Heath in the derby at Maine road was another. Maybe its the crowd and nerves. Which begs the question how did these guys get in the team in the 1st place. Agree with all of that.Power was a boo boy for some reason? Goodison was great only beat by the Kippax for the replay .Gerry Gow, certainly liked to 'get stuck in', probably be sent off almost every game now!, loved by City fans in the short time he was with us.
Paul Power was never especially popular or massively rated and always seemed to get a lot of unfair flak from the terraces. A blue through and through and i seem to remember always applauded the travelling City fans after games.
Maybe not the most naturally gifted player ever to play for us, but he a decent left sided midfielder. 'Gladys' (as he was known by some) could put in a decent cross and scored a few important goals particularly in the 81 Cup run. The late equaliser at Everton and the free kick (which wasn't actually a free kick was it!) at Villa Park in the semi were great moments leading to brilliant celebrations.

Mcnab always thought highly of i think by many, great vision and touch.as well as a bit of steel..gerry gow as well ..same type not quite as good.Who do you think is the most underrated city player?

Also a mention for, Gary Owen, wonderful player who should never have been sold when he was.
