Most underrated City player ever?

I still think David Silva is ludicrously underrated. He's our best ever player imo and the best midfielder in the history of the PL by quite a distance. Some oppo fans reckon he's about as good as Fabregas.

I often hear this re: Fabregas.

Heck, I’ve even some argue that peak Ozil was better than Silva and De Bruyne.

I never realized how good he was until he pulled on our shirt, I think it was us or the dippers when he left Villa, I now understand why that vermin was gutted when he turned them down.

I think he was supposed to transfer the Liverpool the prior summer, but it either fell through or Liverpool didn’t meet Villa’s valuation.

A year later, the Liverpool rumours cropped up again and within a week he was holding a city scarf aloft.

Vonk - cost very little and thrust straight into the team. Was good as a defender and emergency forward.

Was useful at both ends of the pitch.

Dave is who I was going to say. Back in the days of one substitute he was invaluable as he was so versatile. A full back, a winger and all positions in between.
