Most underrated/overrated bands or artist ever?

Underrated - kasabian, the first album was top draw the second one was poor then they pull out another masterpiece. Easily one of the best bands of the last ten years with the likes of muse (but muse get the credit)

Overrated - The Stone Roses (tin hat time) The first album was arguably one of the best albums ever, but alot of people say they are one of the best bands ever. How can you be with 1 great album?? even Oasis followed definetly maybe up with whats the story (then it went all down hill from there for them).

Agree on your second part but they are still both better than Kasabian.

I agree they both are but doesnt that show how poor music is at the moment?

elbow and the doves are 2 other bands I'd say are underrated aswell
 
Underrated - Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Modest Mouse...

Overrated - The Killers, Ocean Colour Scene...
 
Muse are mediocre/shit, but just happen ,for some unknown reason to be flavour of the month, so all the sheep have jumped aboard...

Anyway, on to more pressing matters, l have been offered a couple of tickets to see Machine Head and need to make a decision quickly.

Are they worth a look...? l know very little about them ...
