Normally when you register a death all Government departments such as pensions, passports etc are informed by the registry office, though that might be for a small fee. Basically it removes your obligation and duty to contact each and every one of them. Therefore the guy would have done nothing wrong.... However using the car may contravene the rules?Exactly.
It as offence to not inform of any change of circumstances and the guy would have been taken to court for fraud.
But to be clear, I think the way we treat disabled and less fortunate people in this country is disgraceful. The problem here is the people who are fiddling it, and there are some, probably many, are savvy enough to avoid being caught, those that are genuinely in need most of the time are not or are too honest which makes them easy prey for this evil regime that we have governing us.
Perhaps they should focus on "getting it right first time" not that I like a good old cliche.

I had to go to my assessment, the attitude was, well if you can get here you can get to work, fuck off and get a job, the fact I can spend weeks hardly being able to stand up no matter go out didn't seem to register :-)I'm more of a wreck post assessment than i was before given they only gave me 1 full days notice so i couldn't prepare,i hate the fuckers with a passion xx

He is saving no money, absolutely none.
That leaves his policy as one of cruelty and ideology. He comes across as cold and uncaring because thats exactly what he is and will stop at nothing to hurt those most needy in our society whilst no doubt happy to claim everything he can from the public purse as an MP, after all, recent history shows that MP's have took the piss and abused the system more than most and just next week, are going to vote through a new law that means those amongst them caught fiddling the public expenses can remain anonymous even when arrested for such offences.
I wonder if a benefit claiment caught fiddling would be afforded such protections?

The government said they would rebalance the economy to make wages higher and make people work and stop the culture of benefits Britain prevailing. 70% of claimants under the previous system had never even had a full medical assesments and claims grew something like 30% in a few years - totally dispraportionate to any other studies of disability. The government were absolutely shocked at the scale of mismanagement and abuse of the disability system which costs 13 billion a year. These modifications will save £2.4 billion a year.
This is the process which is happening. Of course there will be the odd horror story but they are rebalancing the economy as they said they would.

Do you believe that? I haven't had time to do research and you may well be right that it is savage the cuts they are making, I am not saying that.
I am saying, potentially the system was abused and the government are trying to do something about it. Maybe some of the methods of doing so are not correct. I will do some more research on it when I have time.
Edit - A quick 30 second google search shows Bradford has the highest percent of disabled Badge misuse in the country - what a surprise. Also the highest number whiplash claims in the country. Unfortunately for the left - you cant have it all ways. Nasty government making cuts - the country has got into a huge deficit largely because all and sundry were allowed to take the piss and abuse the system.

Because anyone with an ounce of common sense will know the system is abused there. I worked on a project there once next to the Job Centre and saw hundreds of people driving up in Mercedes with a shedload of women signing on every week. Total piss take.

Do me a flavour. It's nothing of the kind. The point of any benefit system here is to help those in need, who have generally paid in to the system too. Even if they haven't paid in, help is still given. Even if they were not born in the right place like those Eton wankers, they get help. How much will it save in the long run deterring people from making fraudulent claims? and also as you say the money spent on the assessments is money pumped back into the private sector. All boils down to rebalancing the economy. That is what they promised and why they got elected.

Sick of hearing about ETON - what a weak argument. The benefits culture led to an unprecedented rise in disability payments - it was costing this country £13 billion a year and needed to be resolved. For fuck save even Blair was going to do it. It rose 30% in 5 years. The country cannot afford it. Have you seen our defecit???

I'm no left winger mate trust me but I do believe in a just and fair society and I don't lay awake at night frothing at the mouth because my taxes are going to someone in need.
Like disability, benefits for the jobless and any fraud involved costs far less to this country than the sheer incompetence of government departments does on a yearly basis. The government could tackle that, keep it in house with civil servants on real affordable wages able to do the job in hand and bring some huge savings but they won't.
Instead it's an attack on the poor and needy amongst us in society, helped by a media that loves to stick the knife in as morning TV will show on a daily basis and a public brainwashed into hating them, something all politicians are good at doing and a continuation of awarding huge contracts to private companies that are never able to do what's being asked, on time and on budget.
This is a policy driven by a cruel ideology, end of.
