Motion - the country is completely broken

One has already lead the country to ruin.

Who are you going to vote for then?
Won’t make a difference in my case either way. I live in what is probably the safest Tory seat in the country. I’ll probably trash my ballot.

The “opposition” seem to agree with the government on most important issues, or at least only disagree superficially. Two cheeks of the same backside.

The last constituency I lived in, Birmingham Ladywood, the sitting Labour MP, Shabana Mahmood, who is a half decent MP tbf, gets about 80% of the vote! 80% ffs. Have usually voted Green and Lib Dem in elections there, will probably vote Libdem here, but it’s a complete waste of fucking time.

As you say, it’s a complete fucking joke, and no, turkeys ain’t voting for Christmas.
25% turnout at the recent Urmston by-election. And a new member of Parliament was duly elected. Funny how MPs don’t apply the 50% threshold that strike action requires.

I'll not be voting Labour come the next election, though I suspect not for the same reasons as you.

When you state......

You've no idea whether Labour will be grossly incompetent, I've no idea whether they'll be competent or not, nobody knows.

I worked with a government department from 2001 to 2017. I'm no fan of Blair and Brown but they were political Titans compared to this lot and on the whole government worked, there were the odd ministerial scandals, but that government was a paragon of virtue and a well oiled machine compared to this shambles.

Competence has nothing to do with policy. When you make a statement like grossly incompetent that's your politics showing, nothing more.
You can judge the party by its MPs, and there are barely a handful that I have any confidence in whatsoever. They’re incompetent in opposition, so I’m not sure how you can expect anything different if they were to gain power.

Blair remains still the worst PM in my lifetime by a very long distance. His government was anything but virtuous. It was deceitful and morally bankrupt. His cataclysmic wars destroyed an entire region and resulted in over a million people dead.

You don’t rate anyone from any party ever and you’re so clever you don’t even vote. Are you some kind of omnipotent being? What job do you have? It must be something enormous to be as all knowing and all seeing as you.

Given where you live now why did you vote Leave? What persuaded you?
I felt that we couldn’t continue with freedom of movement - that the rates of immigration were unsustainable. I didn’t foresee the economic decline that we’re experiencing.
