Motion - the country is completely broken

I felt that we couldn’t continue with freedom of movement - that the rates of immigration were unsustainable. I didn’t foresee the economic decline that we’re experiencing.

Nor the current boom in immigration? Higher than ever just not from the EU? Did you attribute that prediction to Project Fear?

Trashing your most important trade agreement damages your country's economy. Who could possibly have predicted that?

BTW, we never could be arsed to implement the controls over EU immigration that EU law allowed and still allows. Too much trouble for our bone-idle, incompetent ruling class, who are only good at filling their own pockets and fucking useless at running a modern country. No doubt because of their 19th Century education focused on classics and similar pointless shite.

No, I looked at net migration, which was running at circa +200k per annum (majority of whom were EU nationals) and felt that wasn’t sustainable.
I felt, economically, that leaving the EU wouldn’t be the cataclysmic disaster it’s proven to be.
Whether we’ll return or whether there’ll be another referendum... on verra.

After the vote, we absolutely had to leave, and I can’t see us rejoining anytime this decade (although never say never!).

We’ve got to try and make the most of it, it’s just a crying shame that our institutions and political class are pitifully equipped to do so.

You can judge the party by its MPs, and there are barely a handful that I have any confidence in whatsoever. They’re incompetent in opposition, so I’m not sure how you can expect anything different if they were to gain power.

Blair remains still the worst PM in my lifetime by a very long distance. His government was anything but virtuous. It was deceitful and morally bankrupt. His cataclysmic wars destroyed an entire region and resulted in over a million people dead.

Blairs time in power was the greatest period of legislation to benefit the population since the period after the two world wars....his legacy however will be Iraq.

The Tories have never and will never even come close to this.

Everybody told you that immigration would go up and that the economy would be damaged. Those two points, and the danger to the Union, were the main thrust of the remain campaign. You just chose not to listen.

Just in the park had to help a woman who had broke her ankle, fire service called to help get her upto a car to get her to a hospital as ambulance wait is 13 hours!! She would’ve died of hypothermia by then.

The UK didn't subscribe to Freedom of Movement tho..... only Freedom of Movement of Labour. Our ability to control this always lay in the hands of the Government (as Cameron was told when he asked for a handbrake on immigration)

They could've solved the problem but chose not to as their end game was always to blame and pull us out of the Europe Union

I listened to many people and read many opinions. Having deliberated and thought long and carefully, I felt voting Leave would be the correct choice.
