Motorcycling Blues

That ktm is bonkers, love it. I'd really like a supermoto but I've no room in the garage for another bike.
Post a pic of the yzf mate, another great bike. Hope it's in a suitably tasteful period paint scheme....;-)
KTMs are great bikes. The YZF I always wanted, had a foxeye FZR600R, I see the boys on 44teeth are doing a budget bike battle in Bavaria featuring a YZF and a Fireblade, the ultimate 90's superbikes, looks fun.

I almost mentioned the 44 teeth lads in my post, great channel. Two (3, till boothy had his off at the tt) top lads fucking about on bikes, having a laugh, and generally enjoying themselves. Proving you don't need to spend mega money to have fun. For me that's what biking is all about.

When I was little at junior school, my Dad had a Francis Barnet, and Ariel Arrow and a brand new Panther Redwing (made in Cleckheaton)
I used to hold the torch while he serviced them in the dark garage.

I remember he also had a BSA Gold Flash, a Matchless 350 ExWD.

Me on the Panther after he attached a sidecar :)

I currently ride a Honda CBR 650R. I like the bike, but I'm too old now for sports bikes. My shoulders hurt too much after an hour or so in the saddle, so I'll be changing it this spring for something more upright and comfortable.

It won't be an adventure bike because they are seriously pug ugly to my eyes, and it won't be a European bike either. It will be a Japanese sports tourer with 3 or 4 cylinders because I like the sound thay make, and Japanese bikes start on the button and I've never had a problem with any I have owned, and I clock up the miles.

I'll test ride the Yamaha Tracer 9GT, Suzuki GSX 1000GT, but my heart is sort of set on the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX at the moment.

I Dont think it justfies a seperate thread but just wondered if people had a favorite stretch of road for riding?
Mine has to be the run from Welshpool to Porthmadog, mum & dad had a caravan near Porthmadog so it was a trip I rode a lot on various bikes when we lived in Shropshire,
Good road surfaces, Some great twisty bits, some fast sections & some great scenery (Berwyn mountains, Bala lake, & you end up on the coast), obviously these days you have to watch out for speed cameras but its still not to bad compared to some places.

When I lived in Macc and then Northwich, the Cat and Fiddle was ace, before they put the plane up and so many speed cameras it really had an effect, stilla bloody good road, or it was then (10 - 12 years ago)
