Motorcycling Blues

I Dont think it justfies a seperate thread but just wondered if people had a favorite stretch of road for riding?
Mine has to be the run from Welshpool to Porthmadog, mum & dad had a caravan near Porthmadog so it was a trip I rode a lot on various bikes when we lived in Shropshire,
Good road surfaces, Some great twisty bits, some fast sections & some great scenery (Berwyn mountains, Bala lake, & you end up on the coast), obviously these days you have to watch out for speed cameras but its still not to bad compared to some places.
So it's you lot destroying the peace and quiet of Snowdonia sunday morning..... The garage near us is like the starting grid at Oulton park, all the clubs and groups seem to congregate there. Honda step throughs to Scooters, Old vintage Brit bikes, the ubiquitous octogenarian Harley hells angel wannabees plus the usual tourers and sport bikes echoing through the valley......keep it up

I have a few, but for sheer majesty and a 'will you look at that' moment, the road from Capel Curig to Beddgelert, especially on a clear sunny day, when Mt Snowdon comes into view tops my list. It's a fast, sweeping road at that point, but the view is magical. I never tire of seeing it, and lunch in Beddgelert is not far away.

My mates harley, it's loud, very loud. And shiney. Not likely to get you a speeding ticket, as they've somehow only managed to get 80hp out of a 1.6 litre engine. Oh, and it doesn't go round corners very well, despite the massive back tyre.

That’s a lot of modifications. Did it start out as a softail?
It's a rocker c, as he insists on telling me every fucking 5 minutes, despite me showing next to no interest.
Some sort of special edition.
I think it's a softail (ie I think it has some sort of rudimentary rear suspension, probably borrowed off a tractor) apart from that I know nowt
Edit. It is a lovely looking bike though.
And he's living his harley dream. He looks at my bikes and shakes his head at my stupidity much as I do when looking at his daft effort.
Doesn't stop us being riding buddies though. The conversations when chalk and cheese rock up ....
