Now there's a first! A post match interview where the winning manager effectively applies for the losing manager's job.
Really, did Samuel say that. If so, I now respect him even more for uttering what non united supporters are thinking. Humility is not a Mourinho trait ...
He did....just have a look at his Twitter account.

The Rags' soon to be managerial vacancy is a prize from the top drawer, any capable candidate would be a fool to rule themselves out of the running, why would Mourhino be different?

I cant blame him in the slightest for keeping his options wide open, especially if our owners pass up any opportunity to employ him.

Jose Mourinho will be the future of manchester city.

GALATASARAY ♥ Manchester City

Has fergie's better half told him she wants him home on the piss more often?

Its the only way he will go this summer and we all know he will go when he wants to or his health is not good enough.

The way he sprinted down the steps after Nani was sent to let fly at the fourth he seems in reasonable nick for a 70 plus bloke to me.

Doubt he is going anywhere soon.

This " injustice " costing him the treble as he would allude will only want him to make another tilt at Chumps football and go out a winner next year.

Those managers lining up for the manure job had better find a way of tampering with his grog bigtime.

"He" did say that yes. Well, someone did.

Wasn't the journalist Martin Samuel though, it's a fake account.

But not unexpected,unlike Mourhino himself.

I actually think most are gutted he showed the class that they continually accuse him of lacking.......

One man's "class" is another man's nauseating sycophancy...

the Real coach said: "I think Sir Alex has won the right to have every decision acknowledged as correct and every decision should have no question mark. He is the best, he has created history. You are nobody and I am nobody to put a question mark in front of him. His team was very well organised."

What an amazing thing to say by mourhino.

Spanish journo on talkshite now, Madrid fans and Spanish press noy happy with Mourinho, want to know why he was arse licking the rags arses and she said did he have to con duct a job interview live on air

We don't know if Mourinho was staking an interest or merely arse licking. I wouldn't rule out a third option: faux humility. The man has a wide repertoire when it comes public posturing.

All that matters to me is the rags are on their arses and out of Europe. The controversial circumstances made it even more delicious. Bacon's reactions....priceless.

They don't like it up em do they?

It's funny how the two different sides put a completely different spin on Mourinho's conduct tonight.

Telling your own players they are not as good as United, is hardly "class", is it. Moronic in fact.

And I say that as a Mourinho fan. I would welcome him at City, but last nights ridiculous comments from him were ill-thought through and not his finest hour.

And as to the game, which United side did the media see "control" the game last night? Would that be the same United side that had 36% possession? The enormous gulf in class between United and Real was instantly apparent as soon as they stepped it up a gear. That game could be replayed 10 times and United would lose 9 of them.
