Mourhino is on his way to City.....

We don't know if Mourinho was staking an interest or merely arse licking. I wouldn't rule out a third option: faux humility. The man has a wide repertoire when it comes public posturing.

All that matters to me is the rags are on their arses and out of Europe. The controversial circumstances made it even more delicious. Bacon's reactions....priceless.

They don't like it up em do they?

Agree mate, but don't get suckered in to this "controversial circumstances" nonsense. That's the sort of mind games we have been subjected to for years, the incessant brainwashing of people into thinking the rags are hard done by if they don't get 3 penalties every game.

Nani went in, both feet off the ground, foot at chest height, studs up and gets red card. There are no "controversial circumstances" there.

My question is WHY, if he thinks the position here is a possibility, would he treat us with no respect, and them with incredible respect?

When he was getting ready to play us he was talking about how other clubs have had history and full trophy cabinets for a century: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jose-mourinho-on-manchester-city-the-real-1310290" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... al-1310290</a>

"Madrid, Barca, Bayern, these clubs have unique historic capital – the trophies, the European Cups, the history, the fans. Things you cannot buy with money"

"The best players will want to be at these clubs, the three I have mentioned and some others who have trophy cabinets full for almost a century."

"Manchester City are powerful because they have players at the highest world level,’ ‘City are a team built to win the Champions League. The objective of the investment, made year after year, is to lift the European Cup.

"But there will be difficulties for clubs that are not well structured, although they have wallets full of money.

"Clubs that live just from the investments from their owners will not have it so easy, because they do not have the structures of the historic clubs. In that way, Financial Fair Play will be good for football."

Taking the piss out of us basically. He's done the exact opposite last night and in the lead up to their game. It's a spectacle. It's the game the world wants to see. Ferguson will retire at 90. To me, there's no possible way that can be spun. He doesn't see City as a viable option or he wouldn't have behaved in the way he has both to us, and to our main rival. He talked us down, he talked them up. If he was coming here, he wouldn't do that. He might still have talked them up to show respect, but he wouldn't have talked us down.

I'm certain he wants to manage Utd. I was told quite clearly early in 2010 that City could have had him as manager in 2009 but his comments proved it would be a stepping stone (City chose Mancini and rejected Mourinho partly because of this) - best to stay away from him and let him get on with his own career plan.

I can only agree. He would look a right tit if he came to us after what he's said in recent months and I can't imagine him willingly doing that. He's clearly after the rags job, but will end up at Chelsea again, I would imagine.

Mourinho talks about structures of historical clubs, for a supposed clever man he ignores the fact that we are building the structure now. That takes money partly due to the wages he and his players demand.

It is as if playing for a big historical club is a defense against taking the money. How is that history actually gained in the first place. They should take a look and no doubt all the clubs he detailed with have skeletons.

Quite embarrassing watching him desperately sucking up to united and trying to suck the farts out of 'boss' fergie's arse. Desperate for the rag job. Has been for years, it's obvious

She actually said they're split.

She said he was being respectful.

As in this thread, you can see it two ways.

Imo he's opening every door he can.

Why didn't he open the door to City then? Why, before our matches against him, didn't he say: Manchester City are in a good position, they have a brand new stadium which can hold 48k, full every week, they have tremendous potential, they are a sleeping giant who have been awoken by wealthy owners who respect their managers? Instead, he sat there and took the piss about how we have no "historic capital". If he's opening the doors in Trafford, he's closing them here. If he wanted to come here, even if he didn't believe the words coming out of his mouth, he'd lie and would have talked us up, and said the above. He's not coming. Get over it.

Get over nothing.

He made a backhanded compliment and was being honest last night. The card changed the game ffs. Jose most likely wants the United job over us, no big deal. He's keeping his options open and that's wise.

Whether we get him or we don't it still doesn't mean Mancini is good enough in my eyes. Should Jose not be an option there's still Klopp to go for ;)

By the way. Didn't many say Jose 'pitch' for the City job seemingly, not so long back.

Hypocrisy as well as incontinence, you're going for the full set here Dave. You're one of the worst on here for snidey little digs. Don't start bitching when you get a few back.

Mourinho's comments after the game were cringeworthy and if Mancini had acted like that, with his tongue between Fergies cheeks, you'd be in full attack dog mode. No one who is a fan of Mourinho and a City fan could possibly spin anything positive from his behaviour and comments tonight. He wants the rag job, he always has and tonight proved it beyond any reasonable doubt.

This and only this...
