Mourinho or Mancini

If the manager doesn't have the confidence of the owners, why extend hos contract?

The explanations so far are pitiful. Quit whinging or put forward something credible.

Managers contracts mean nothing nowadays. Being extremely happy with manager can be few weeks away from thinking about sacking him.

Exactly.

You must have a poor view of our owners bud.

Lack of candidates available? There was a delay when we announced Mancini's contract extension.

That's true.

However, it's a totally bizarre notion that the club should get rid of a manager who has won us the FA Cup and Premiership in successive seasons and built a squad that can compete for trophies in the years to come

There are three reasons we are not top of the table this season and none are to do with Mancini:

1) Utd signed RVP
2) Refereeing of Utd's games at Anfield and Stamford Bridge - which prevented damaging defeats
3) Injuries to our own players eg Aguero (you could argue that Mancini should have subbed Aguero before getting injured, but that's stretching it and doesn't excuse the 1st injury lay off)

The brat camp have painted themselves into a corner and argument can not sway them so in many ways its a pointless discussion

If the owner's preferred option for the job wasn't available until this summer you think he should have sacked Mancini anyway? What should he have done in the meantime? What if this preferred option went elsewhere? What were his other options other than extending Mancini's contract?

If the owner hadn't extended Mancini's contract his position would have been untenable.

I don't see how you reach that conclusion.... Unless you are Sheik Mansour....

I suspect you're not Sheik Mansour.

Mancini = Champion, and will be again this season.

Best manager we've ever had imo
Any manager going into the last year of their contact without a new deal is hugely weakened, and in a club with big name players that's even more applicable. It doesn't take sheikh mansour to tell anyone that, just anyone with a modicum of knowledge of the game.

So you're saying that Sheik Mansour does not have a modicum of knowledge of the game...?

You remain as dismal as ever David.

Dismal

So why there was a delay, a leak linking Mancini to the Russian job and had posters flapping (me included) on here at the start of last season?
