Mourinho or Mancini

Could have something to do with the rags having their 2nd best ever start to a season too
Too much sense in that stat, my view for what it's worth, we lost to the rags last kick of the game when Mancini pulled out of The wall, that would be a five point gap. The pope could be the boss and Sunderland would still beat us. Hardly a shit all season scenario.
Also Mancini did not get the backing in terms of signings, if he had his way hazard and RvP would be in city's colors and this thread would probably not exist.

That's true.

However, it's a totally bizarre notion that the club should get rid of a manager who has won us the FA Cup and Premiership in successive seasons and built a squad that can compete for trophies in the years to come

There are three reasons we are not top of the table this season and none are to do with Mancini:

1) Utd signed RVP
2) Refereeing of Utd's games at Anfield and Stamford Bridge - which prevented damaging defeats
3) Injuries to our own players eg Aguero (you could argue that Mancini should have subbed Aguero before getting injured, but that's stretching it and doesn't excuse the 1st injury lay off)

The brat camp have painted themselves into a corner and argument can not sway them so in many ways its a pointless discussion

The reason we aren't top of the table is that we have played badly for most of the season. And the reason Mancini is under pressure is that the European campaign was a disaster. And his European record is poor. So given those facts, the fact that we have new top men in charge, the availability of two world class managers in the summer and the fact that we know he was close to leaving last summer, it is entirely sensible to believe there is a good chance we will be looking for a new manager next summer.

You might think its "bizarre" but that's how it is.

I'd say that's a pretty fair summary of the current situation regarding Mancini.

Could say the same about Barcelona/Madrid and the Spanish league ... ;)

Pep Guardiola says that he will return to coaching next season but insists that he has not yet decided where. The former Barcelona coach has become the most sought-after manager in Europe, attracting interest from Chelsea and Manchester City among a number of other clubs, but is currently on a sabbatical in New York. Speaking at the Fifa Ballon d'Or awards in Zurich he confirmed for the first time that he will go back into management.

"Next year I will go back into coaching. I do not know where but I will go back," Guardiola said. "It is not that I am missing anything at the moment but I am 41 years old, still young. I currently have the life that I was looking for and that I wanted and my [family] deserved. I don't have a team [yet] and I don't know where I will go but I will go back to coaching."

Asked directly about the possibility of taking over at Bayern Munich, Guardiola said: "Bayern? They have Jupp Heynckes and it would be a lack of respect to talk to a club that has a coach. I repeat: I have taken the decision to return to coaching but not the decision about where I will do it."

It is not clear how much can be read into Guardiola's words about Heynckes and whether they can be applied to English teams but Roberto Mancini is still under contract at Manchester City while Rafael Benítez is formally only Chelsea's interim manager.

Guardiola ruled out an international job when he said that he would not take charge of Brazil because of his belief that national teams should not be coached by foreign managers.

"For a country with so many World Cup wins to think that you can coach them is an honour but I always thought that a national team coach should be from that country," Guardiola said. "But I'm very grateful and it is an honour. I'm living football differently now to the way I did when I worked. I watch games on television and I enjoy watching the big teams play, and watching great players. Like a fan."

Give 5 or so a weeks and I guarantee Madrid will be ahead of Atletico in the table.

I'm not convinced. If Athletico get knocked out of the Europa league by Rubin, and Real beat United, I'm going to tip Athletico to finish 2nd. Simeone is doing a top job and he's got some very talented players.

Not really, they won only 2 from their last 5 and ne of them was against Real where they were beaten easily.
