Mourinho or Mancini

Didn't you know, we only failed in the CL because we don't have the required experience in the competition. All we have to do is be in it more often and we will magically improve and start progressing in it, apparently. It's nothing to do with the manager.

A number of things need to improve for us to succeed in Europe, not just the manager. For me I think he has earned another shot at it with us to get things right.

Whether he deserves another chance is not up to us I suppose. But he has 'earned' another shot? Based on what- two European failures, and the current league campaign not as good as last seasons?

Not sure how he has earned it. Unless winning the league last year made him untouchable for a few seasons in your eyes. Fair enough, if that is your reason, just intrigued to see why you think he has earned it...?

Could you throw Diego Simeone in the hat. He's 43 holding his own in Madrid and could be good for our argentine group atm Plus he gets on well with Falcao.
Just a throught moving away from whats already been done, but building our style.

For me he's improved the club each year significantly from when he took over (6th place I think we were). We'll wait and see what happens over the rest of the season, but even if we don't hit the heights of last season I don't want us to become a club where one bad season overrides anything that has been achieved before.

For me, I've said it before but providing there isn't a drastic drop off over the past 5 months he should be the manager at the start of the next season. Obviously getting out of next years group stages is a requirement for him to keep his job, and he would be expected to move the club forward again in the league.

He has certainly improved us year upon year, up until this one.

As you say, the season isn't over, but so far we have regressed from last season. In the league, our style of play, and the CL.
No one expected us to win the CL, or even get out of our group, but our performances against Ajax were pitiful. They got 4 points...all from us.

The season isn't over yet, but the first half of this season has been underwhelming, and a backwards step from last season.

So you would take another clubs manager who has also taken a backwards step this season?...Thats if you want mourinho

Show me where I said I wanted Mourinho.

I haven't actually said that anywhere??
I was just replying to moomba's point.

However, as you said it, I do think Mourinho is a better manager than Mancini, regardless of the fact that Real have taken a step backwards. Do you not?

I don't think we've been as bad as some are making out but it hasn't been as good as last season. I still hold out hope that we can change that, but we'll wait and see. But anyway a backward step needn't be a terminal decline, and the expectations would be on RM to fix it next season. If he can't then I'd expect he'll lose his job.

We have played well in a handful of games. We have scraped through a lot more. We may change that, we are starting to score more freely which is good news.
We need to wait to the end of the season- if we turn things around then I am sure he will stay. If we drop further off United, and finish a number of points behind them (more than 7) then I am not sure he should get another chance, with the wealth of managerial talent potentially on the market this summer.

I understand your point, but when you are aiming high, I don't think time, and 2nd chances is somehting you can afford to have a lot of...
