Mourinho played last 10mins with 1 defender vs Kiev

I remember a an F A Cup match Newcastle v Chelsea at Condom Park ( ST James Park ) or whatever the ground is called.

The special one decided to make all three substitutions at once early in the second half because he didn't fancy a replay.

They then had I think Cudicini sent off and I think Ferraria carried off and played with 9 men and an outfield player in goal and lost the Match 3 -1. This man is not a Tactical genious. He is over -hyped and will be past his sell by date by the time Mark Hughes' work at Eastlands is done.

Amazing what winning the EPL and Serie A and the ECL - not to mention on course for his second consecutive Serie A title - will do for a manager in the 'over hyping' depatment

By my reckoning Hughes is 4 league titles, 1 ECL and an assorted number of FA, League and other domestic trophies behind Jose at the moment so if Hughes is to eclipse the special one then I would suggest he gets a move on :)

What do you mean???

Everything is fucking mint - were 4th

Mark Hughes is ace

Fuck dropping a bucket load of points recently and we keep playing formations that dont suit the team and we cant make a decent su at teh right time fuck all that - Were 4th - thats all that matters

Were 4th

Were in the top 4

We are in the top bracket

I love hughes - he is the bees knees

Seriously, go down to the bookies and put a massive bet on city to finish outside the top six this season with Hughes in charge. Then not only will you be able to say 'I told you so' to all the fans (like me) who don't believe that we destined to fail with Hughes in charge but you'll be quids in too.

And then wait and see whether you're right.
Fuck that....I want to be proved wrong - i dont want to lose Hughes but on his own he will sink -His style of management is grind them out make the best - Which does not suit the millions of quids worth of talent we have - He needs to stay burt he either needs a tactical genius to join him or to take a back step in the management team

Agreed. If Mourinho was the managerial demi-god people make him out to be, why are Inter still doing crap in Europe? Mancini's record is probably better.

Mancini's record is indeed better than mourinho is Europe. That is true so far....

Hang on a minute... Yes, they lost last year against the rags, but this year they are top of their group which includes Barca. Oh and he won the Cl a few years just in case some people forget.

Some people are desperate for something to have a dig at Hughes with.

Hahaha, anyone wanting to have a dig at Hughes, needs to look well past Mourinho, his Chelsea were probably the most boring league winners since 1-0 to the Arsenal since Graham. If I was to have a dig at Hughes it would be by saying that him and Mourinho are much the same.

Last night was a one off, need at least a draw game for him, he had little choice.

Mourinho is a genius. I don't think he's right for us but I hope he returns to England some day, his interviews alone are good value.[/quote]

Genius...FFS...Mancini, Queresma, Muntari,Kezman, Huth, Del Horno, Need I go on?...Oh and the last ten minute tactic was hardly Sacchi like genius. I;ve seen the manger of the Dog n Duck bung his hairy arsed centre half upfront for the last ten minutes on Littleton Road Number 23 loads of times

Still...it worked, I just dont think he's in the same league as Sacchi

Well I suppose he must have some talent because he actually built one of those teams rather than just cashing in for a couple of seasons on teams that were already built, seeing them start to slip & being powerless to change it & then leaving like he's about to do again this season.

It helps a great deal if you inherit a team with alot of money, that had finished 2nd the previous year, and reached a Champions League semi (Chelsea), or a team that had won their domestic league 3 times in a row under the previous manager. Rafa Benitez won the Champions League with an average Liverpool team, and won La Liga twice with Valencia, a league that since has been dominated by Real and Barcelona, and Valencia have been no one near challenging. Would you say Benitez is a world class manager?

I'm not downplaying what Mourinho has achieved, nor am I saying he's a bad manager. I just don't see him as the Special Messiah Manager, that he, and lots of others do. I rate Arsene Wenger and Guus Hiddink higher than Mourinho. What Wenger has achieved with Arsenal is very special indeed, I honestly think no one else could have done what Wenger has done there.
