I am still disgusted as a football fan regarding the treatment of Jose Mourinho. The next window was always going to be the one where he shone. Where is the respect, respect, respect.

It’s more than ten years since he left the Trafford shithole. The swamp has changed a lot since then. He knows rag central no better than Big Mal did when he came back to City for his second spell.

His managerial career is sketchy at best. He looked good in Norway, as he succeeded Uwe and built on the (very good) foundations that Rösler had laid. His stint at Cardiff was an unmitigated disaster and I hope he is equally successful at the swamp if he takes over.

Remember Big Mal's return well. Walked across the pitch to wave at us behind the goal in the FA Cup at a very snowy 3rd Division Shrewsbury after we'd beaten Leeds away in the previous round. Only for us to lose the match. He went on to tear up the team, maybe the start of our demise, but despite that I have fond memories of him. Really hope OGS has the same effect at the swamp.
