Mourinho Sacked

Must say I was disappointed to see Pep showing dignity and not revelling in PEG's downfall. As our manager he should be sticking the boot in right now.

They have briefed the media pretty well. Every news outlet has told United fans that Pochettino is the number one priority. It is a big risk if he decides that Spurs or Madrid are better options. I'd say it is quite likely.

The epic snub.

The interim job isn’t that risky.

They won’t get a CL place and they won’t get relegated. No man’s land is their battle field.

Key requirements are to re-establish discipline and morale and get them playing a more enterprising brand of football. That plus fifth or sixth place isn’t a tall order now that the chief irritant is expelled.

The appointment, and the timing was done with an eye on Pogba, if you ask me. The United board were afraid of him leaving in January, and he's too valuable a marketing asset to lose. He's become what Rooney was at the time he wanted to leave in 2010. Brand wise, he's their most valuable player by far.

Solskjaer can't fail. The players will improve because Mourinho is gone, and the fans will never turn on him. All he needs to do is keep the players happy, and play more attacking football. League wise, I expect they'll stay pretty much in the same place, around 6th/7th, with 5th a possibility.
