Mourinho vs Pellegrini

Despite his defensive style of play, it's hard to deny that Mourinho is the best manager in Europe. His record is unbelievable.

Pellegrini is a good manager, not a great one. He's a level below the likes of Mourinho and Guardiola IMO.

Well said - thank god someone's speaking sense .... Personally think we should have been all over Klopp like a rash, great character and world class manager IMO ... Rumours suggest we're waiting another year for Pep ... Not sold on Pep is he a great manager or a manager who was lucky enough to have great players???

Utter tosh, so we won the league where a player fell over in one game that ended up 2-0.

The other 37 leagues games don't matter?

We didnt win it convincingly when we had by far the best squad... Do you get it yet??? Its called underachieving...

Why would you want to change a style thats success?

Mourinho is the best club manager in the World for success across a spectrum of different leagues with different teams. For me the sooner he decides he has to concentrate on Portugal winning the World Cup the better.

Our manager is a dead man walking and will leave the club around 1st July 2016 if not sooner!

Worst is I think your right, players probably know it too - so this coming season is a worry

Agreed, there are two characterizations that go with Mourinho. The first is a winner and a passionate manager which I definitely wouldn't mind our manager to be associated with. The second is a very annoying c*nt who doesn't mind playing low to win to which I say no thanks.
Agree with assessment of Mourinho, hate the man with a passion which is why I want to stick it to him!! Dont see Pellegrini being the man to do it though!!

Its very obvious what Mourinho brings to a team. In Chelsea's case he identified their weaknesses, brought in Costa, Fabergas & Matic. Offloaded Luiz and Lukaku for big money. In doing so he transformed Chelsea from being part of the title chasing pack to firm favourites and then delivered the title. His tactical approach is very obvious but very effective.

It's much less obvious what Pellegrini's strengths are. He doesnt seem to do the tactical stuff. The players seem to like him which was an advantage in 12/13, much less so in 13/14. He certainly got the team playing superb football for much of 12/13 but it wasnt exactly obvious how he did that, and it hasnt been sustained.

Oh give over, by far the best squad according to who? We did a domestic fucking double ffs! and it was done in the manager's first year in English football. Under achieving my arse.

A bit harsh is that. Don't forget we were hampered with FFP and were unable to compete for the quality of players you name. We all know our summer window was a poor one and consisted mainly of filling gaps on the bench, yet to sign the quality of players you name would have meant selling one or two of our established 'starters' which would have been unpopular and would have risked us failing badly, and also our sales staff haven't proved themselves to bring in the big money to fund such quality signings anyway so it was inevitable that we were prevented from moving forward. Just accept that at least we didn't waste the type of money that the rags did yet still managed to finish well behind us, and deservedly so.
