Mourinho vs Pellegrini

Mou is a 2-3 season man, he pushes the players till they break, they lose faith and he moves on.

He'll not win the prem next year, he'll fall out with the players and fans. Maybe he'll stay on another season but he'll be gone sooner or later. Maybe Bayern.

Jose is a 3 season guy. So is Pep. Trend these days is for a 3 season cycle. Ferran also thinks most coaches have a 1 or possibly 2 cycle shelf life. If Pellers sees out his contract he will be a 3 season manager. It would be 2 seasons if Pep decided to take the City job tomorrow. Thing is being a short term manager is not a big deal. No one cares about a manager coming in and building a dynasty. They may talk about it but one bad season or even a bad few months at any top club and chances are you will be toast.

I have no idea if Jose will win the PL next year or whether the pressure will be on to win the CL at the expense of the PL. A lot will depend on player recruitment as it will with us. Mourinho is a better and more successful manager than Pellers the rest is just whether you like Jose or not. But its all irrelevant as we are not going to employ Jose short of a zombie apocalypse and even then it would still be 50/50 at best.

I think he's got another good season in him, however if things dont go to plan he can lose the plot!!!

Just put the two CV's side by side and read them.
It is 100% clear who is the better football manager by some considerable distance and he isn't Chilean.
And yet it doesn't alter the fact that I'd still take Pellegrini over him every day of the week.

3 of the 4 managers that most do my head in are still around. So happy we never got any of them. Mourinho, Wenger or Rodgers would push my support of the club to the limit.

Last manager that I wasn't fed up with after a couple of seasons was Keegan. Imagine if we had KK with today's money? ;-)

You'll never take me seriously so if you knew that Horton was my favourite manager. Always wondered what would have happened if we had kept with him. Loved his style of play. :-)
