Mourinho

16 points behind in La Liga isnt he?

Not championing Mourinho by any means, if we were 16 points behind a team like Barca it would be hard to complain. However, with the talent at the managers disposal, we are 7 points behind a very average team with a couple of very good strikers. That shower couldnt be further from Barca.

Of course you could complain. They only play Barca twice a season so the other 13 points have been dropped against the likes of Celta Vigo, Espanyol and Gatafe. If we had a team containing Casillas, Ramos, Ronaldo, Ozil, Benzema and Alonso we wouldn't expect to be 16 points behind anybody.

That are on track for one of the best points tallies in premier league history.

They are blue, but you cant compare the two squads and say they are better man for man in many areas. The difference this season is the managers, pisscan wants that title back more than anything else on Gods green earth and his team plays like it (or fights like no other at least til they scrap a result).

Some of the lethargic shite we have seen so far this season (and in portions of last season) make me wonder about our lot and the leadership they are getting.

I know but points count, not the quality of the squad. And there points tally over the past 18 months is up there with the best in the last two decades.

Defensive frailties only matter if you score less than your opponents. They've conceded 2 or more in a game nine times for eight wins and a loss.

Not much we can do about that, expect the one at our place.

All that does is highlights to me the superior mentality they have over us, when you compare squads we have the edge with talent in every position bar two (in my opinion)

When you see average players punching above there weight for them each week and some of our world class players are currently playing within themselves, something's not right?

I think their mentality has been their biggest asset for over a decade now, it's ingrained into them and anyone who joins must have the same mentality or they won't last long.

I remember a few years ago having a rant about how they approached the last 10 minutes of games, with relentless pressure and more often than not getting a result out of it. Sometimes we seemed to coast through the last minutes of a game without urgency or any desperation to get a result.

But that has changed now for me, and we are also capable of turning around results and scoring last minute goals. I suspect their record won't last, either they will need to sort their defence or they will start dropping points.

It's just the urgency between the 2 clubs the rags tempo is a lot more we stay patient and pass
