Why don't you start such a thread ? I'm sure that it'll move quickly into 'classics'.

I thought this already was a 'classic'. Anyway, no-one would respond anyway as I'm not in ultracool 'Pm'ed you' gang. I'll just keep plodding on instead, thanks.
pm about to be sent.

PM'ed you back but still not starting a thread, especially as I've no idea where Chinley is.

did the flag make a late appearance ?

sure it was missing till the 20th minute
it was up at the start of the game, windy night, so put it in its original position plus blue bowler is very superstitious so he wanted it back in its rightful place, he is that superstitious, he goes in the same turnstile each game even if there is a big queue, he has to use that turnstile. last year when one of our lot brought a new away shirt, we drew the first match he wore it so it was banned for the next game, sad i know, but thats how he is.
thanks to all the guys in 308 who asked us to keep the flag, good banter, in fact the atmosphere up there gets better each year and what a view.
and then theres that £5 we both give to that woman before the game as a good luck donation lol

Chinley lies directly on a layline that connects it to Hyde Road Ardwick. Every blue on the planet should make a pilgrimage to Chinley at least once in their lifetime by walking along this layline. The journey should conclude in the Chinley conservative club where you should throw a pint of dogpiss over the rags that pervade therein on matchdays.
This will generate positive energy and City's cup shall overflow.

This sounds like a good idea but I think there will be a shortage of dog piss so please bring your own supply so as not to be disapointed at the end of your long journey

Met the lovely Chinley lads last week. Must be an Irish bar nearby as they were asking if I'd like to stay for the Craic.

Can't you put the flag behind the Mancini one? It'll be in the same place for your superstitious friends benefit and there won't be people having to ask themselves 'where the fuck is Chinley?' Win win. Just a thought :-)
