Moyes on Vieira..

An Evertonian made a point earlier in the thread about the ammount of youth they fielded in their last european tie. This was a meaningless fixture, ideal for blooding younguns as the result didn't matter. Please don't make out this was typical.

Wtf is wrong with this guy, that comment made no sense what so ever, it's so obviously clear that he just wants to say something bad about City. Grow up Moyes, I'm almost embarrassed on your behalf.

bless the evertonians bleating that 'the money's changed you'. how outrageously arrogant we were this summer, for thinking we would do better than everton this season, for thinking lescott might actually want to join us, and that moyes might just be holding out for a good price.

the obvious truth is that our young players are injured. johnson is out for the second season in a row. there really isn't anyone else ready to come through. that's why we've had to bring in another midfielder.

personally I think hughes was to blame for letting us down a bit by not making any attempt to bring on the young 'uns over the last season and a half. it has nothing to do with the take over. mancini handed first starts to two young 'uns in the FA Cup. despite the major reason for that being the current injury crisis (11 players at last count), hughes just wouldn't have done that, he would picked unfit, out of position senior players every time. the first thing the guy did with the money was buy a 29 year old goalkeeper and send out joe hart. worked out well, but most city fans would have been very happy to persist with hart.

ffs bizbo are you being serious?

hughes had a huge amount of pressure to achieve a certain target and that would of not been done with kids.

in the end he just was not good enough but to use buying given and loaning out hart is bloody poor m8.

totally serious. hart/given is just an example. it was hughes's decision to go for the experienced players at every single opportunity. it wasn't why he went, but it did make it difficult for me to warm to him. if he'd have won enough games, it wouldn't have mattered. if he had got the same results, but had made a big effort to blood youngsters, I would have defended him for it. but he didn't, did he. I'm not looking for a reason to bash hughes, couldn't care less about him anymore, but it was different under pearce, different under sven, and it appears to be a little different under mancini (boyatta and weiss full debuts in the FA cup).

Just to remind you all, we have ruined countless careers over the years i have been watching City. How many times have we thrown a young player into the lions den during one of our countless relegation/promotion battles or when one of our many managers has been under the usual MCFC pressure? We have never had the luxury of throwing them into an established successful team like the rags and the arse (check Walcotts progression) So we should be applauded for the amount of young players we have brought through who have gone on to have successful careers in the football league in all divisions. I would think over the last 25yrs we must be somewhere near the top of the table for producing quality players.
How unlucky were the FA youth cup winners from 86? Thrown straight into a division two side en masse to get us out of the shit once again. Imagine if they had been thrown into a City side as good as the one Butt, Scholes, Giggs etc were eased into.
We have been producing em for years and will continue to do so. Let all the jealous 'experts' and 'fans' spout their crap, it does'nt matter. They can bury their heads in the sand forever. Onwards and upwards.

I thought the "blue dipper v City" wars were over after Moyes and DSOB finally admitted defeat over Lescott?

It seems that with the return of the best ever Bluemoon member in DSOB running round their forums no doubt stoking the fires like a kid in the schoolyard it's going to be cutting up rough round here again......oh well..

Gwladiator-you're an exception to this,mate.

;-)

Lol Robbie.
I see you were hiding as usual when I came on.
Admitted defeat? Dave and I?
Quite a post count of spam you have now. Any of them worth reading? The odd post about lady boys perhaps? :o)
Let's see if we can't make you eat those girly words next week lover boy. xxx

Dear ,oh dear.
Is that the best the "toffee's finest" internet troll can come up with?

Were you a little "tired and emotional" DSOB?
Tearfully watching re-runs of Joleon's finest moments on Youtube?

The only thing I can put that pile of incoherent rambling down to is that when you're typing your anti-City rants after a few sherbets "lady boys"probably does start to look a little like "davie moyes."

Everton losing respect for jealousy?

City losing respect for arrogance!

People are so quick to call us arrogant... I mean, how long have you supported Everton? How long have you been aware of our club?

Like fuck we're arrogant. Some people will use our financial power to combat arguements, thats not arrogance, that's our fucking lucky break.

Everton fans continually coming onto this board, trying to tell US misinformed shit about OUR club, is not only arrogant, its ignorant. Like i said, if you've followed English football for any length of time you'd know we've only returned to the Premier League within the past decade, we had 30k crowds in the third tier on English football, we've done absolutely nothing of note for over 30 years... We've got nothing to be arrogant about.

We're not arrogant.

Moyes using us in a public forum to tell everyone whats "good" for english football is arrogant.
Everton fans coming onto our board at every oppourtunity is arrogant.
Everton fans trying to tell us we don't blood our youngsters is arrogant.
Everton fans trying to tell us we're arrogant, is arrogant.

People can easily fall back onto our club, our owners etc when misinformed individuals think they can preach to our fans... Time and again Everton fans have come on here and tried to make us look bad, other than how we sacked Hughes, we, as a club, have acted in a dignified, respectful yet forceful fashion.

Moyes leaked the lescott deal, Moyes forced Lescott into isolation, refused him to train with the first team, kicked up a fuss publically and drew out the transfer. We kept our mouth shut, did our taking in private and eventually (in spite of Moyes and his immature, arrogant antics) got our man.

You'd think Everton fans might have a bit more appreciation for the luck we've had bestowed upon us... not all this shite you've come out with since we were taken over.

Well said G Star, great post.

When they get Arteta and Jagielka fit again and possibly retain the likes of Donavan Everton will easily be a top 6 side. Its going to get really interesting next year thats for sure.

No chance. Certainly top 10 and perhaps top 8 but even with a fully fit squad, they'd be behind the 'Sky 4', Spurs, Villa and us.

Did you see them at Arsenal? One of the best performances I have seen this season

Arsenal just don't tick the same without RvP and Fabregas.
