Moyes on Vieira..

When they get Arteta and Jagielka fit again and possibly retain the likes of Donavan Everton will easily be a top 6 side. Its going to get really interesting next year thats for sure.

I noticed that you have one fan with a bit of intelligence.

You have blown this out of all proportion. Moyes will lose no sleep over this fantasy football team, his comments may or may/not have intended to kick up a stink. Facts are, all of you who are mentioning the American on loan situation instead of playing our youngsters. Might want to look at our subs bench and even stating lineups this season. Ridiculous amount of young blood in and around the first team. But for Carlo Nash, our last European game the teams average age was about 20. Seamus Coleman, James Vaughan, Keiran Agard, Jose Baxter, Shane Duffy, Jack Rodwell, Dan Gosling & James Wallace....All very yound players givne a chance by Moyes recently. Obviously not all at the same time and with regards experience, playing Vaughan and Agard up front together would be suicidal given their lack of match action. With Yak at the ACON, Saha in and out with injury, Jo dicking about, Donovan has been brought in as an experienced head to play alongside a these youngsters.

Citys last outings vs Boro consisted of Micah ricards, the sole (debatable) youngster. And that was an FA cup tie, arguably a great chance to blood youngsters through and give them at least the matchday experience.

Moyes was asked a question, and he gave a frank and honest answer. City field no kids, they dont bring any young blood through. They have a squad less realistic than that of one in a fantasy football game, you wont complain because you support them and are blinded by your support bias. But what he says isnt out of jealousy, its the truth.

Commenting on City again... This is the guy who has just given a 3 month contract to an average American player. Hypocrite.

"I'm sure there will be a lot of young players at City who will be disappointed at not getting the chance they might have otherwise done.

"It might turn out to be a good move for City, but if you're asking me if it is good for English football, then I'm not so sure.

"I think a lot of people would like to see young British players given that sort of chance"

Allow me to rewrite the quote. Only now let's make it in reference to Landon Donovan.

"I'm sure there will be a lot of young players at Everton who will be disappointed at not getting the chance they might have otherwise done. It might turn out to be a good move for Everton, bu if you're asking me if it is good for English football, then I'm not so sure. I think a lot of people would like to see young British players given that sort of chance."

Hmmm?

I thought the "blue dipper v City" wars were over after Moyes and DSOB finally admitted defeat over Lescott?

It seems that with the return of the prime attention-seeker general DSOB running round their forums no doubt stoking the fires like a kid in the schoolyard it's going to be cutting up rough round here again......oh well..

Gwladiator-you're an exception to this,mate.

you are an idiot.

I had no idea the that City were required to field any youngsters. The idea is to win the game. Not be a training ground fr other clus. Of course Everton doesn't grasp this.

Shame you seem to have none, can you not see the inherent contradiction in your first two sentences?
The rest of your post is similarly asinine.

lol every Everton fan must be embarrassed by this post!

Since the takeover Everton have been by far the most bitter , I actually believe you think we are ceating by signing good players. You need to grow up

My and moyes' point was that since the takeover you solve your problems by buying/bringing in.

This whole situation in a nutshell........You cover in the middle -get in Viera, Everton need cover in the middle - promote Rodwell from the youth.

The following list were all brough through PRIOR to the arabs arriving (weiss being Slovakian too, and Boyata you mention is Belgian) which is not the intial point that moyes was making.

Rather than read my post and try to listen to what I said, you ignorantly dismiss it just another outside fan, so it must be bullshit. And I'm the one who should be embarassed.

You are aware you're talking shite yeah? Richards was the only "youth" player against Boro? Would that be apart from Weiss and Boyata who started and Trippier, Vidal and Tutte who were on the bench? Not forgetting Johnson, SWP, Ireland , Etuhu and Onouha, all of whom have played first team football for City. So, as you can see, absolute shite.

As for you singing the praises of Everton for the number of youth team players you had against Benfica, I think you'll find it's far easier to field youth players when you can't afford to spend any money on better players. Our youth team players make it because, in the main, they're good enough, yours make it because, in the main, you've got nothing better. We were in a similar situation a few years ago, no money so forced to field youngsters, it's nothing to be ashamed of, but don't brag about it like it makes you better than us.
