Just when you couldnt think politics could get any worse, a group of MPs are lobbying the House of Commons to have that bullying contol freak of a drunk made a peer. (cant post a link, see BBC Sport site).

It makes me laugh that non of the united fans realise that Fergie is almost directly responsible for the fact that Glazer owns their club in the first place. Fergie fell out with Magnier and McManus over the stud rights to the Rock of Gibraltar, a horse he was given a share of as gift as they thought he was a good bloke to have around.

Fergie's own greed meant that when the horse was raking in a big fee at stud he thought he was due a slice of the action, he was told where to go and decided to take legal action...until he was told by his legal council they didn't have a leg to stand on and he had to drop it. Unfortunately for Fergie and the rags, Magnier and McManus owned shares in united...who they sold to...good old Uncle Malc.

If Fergie hadn't ruined his friendship with them he probably would have only needed to make a phone call to make sure they didn't sell to Glazer, as it was obvious what he would do to united's finances.

Make him a Lord alright, it was a hell of an achievement to play such a pivotal role in taking united from being a free spending machine to a club that despite its huge incomings (tourist attraction) every year, had to stoop to signing Michael Owen, Obertan and Bebe. Nice one Slur Alex.

he's untouchable, no other manager would get away with what he does

can you imagine the uproar if it had been any other manager when he was caught on camera saying to ban the journo

our 'fair' media run scared of him

The press have been holding back on bacon face. As soon as he retires and loses his power they will be on him like terriers worrying a rat.

He'll be lucky to keep his knighthood let alone get a peerage.

This is all opinion you understand, I'm in no way ITK.

Arise Sir Ryan: United star Giggs should be given a knighthood, says MP
And now Manchester Central MP Tony Lloyd, himself a United fan, believes a knighthood should be the next addition to an already-packed display cabinet at the winger’s Worsley mansion.

Mr Lloyd believes it would be fitting if the 37-year-old, who is an OBE, followed in Sir Alex Ferguson’s, footsteps and became a Sir.

And he has tabled an Early Day Motion in Parliament calling for Giggs to get a knighthood.

He said: "I think it would be a great way to recognise his achievements. He has been an amazing servant, not just for Manchester United but for this beautiful game of football and he has given great pleasure to people in this country."

Mr Lloyd said that whether Giggs, who tries to shy away from attention off the field, would be a willing recipient is another matter.

He added: "Ryan is very humble and I don’t know whether he would approve."
It wouldn't happen to be tony lloyd would it,Deja Vu perhaps ??
