It's not a clarkie. It didn't originally exist, the system just suddenly decided there was a deficit when there wasn't so the post masters had to stump up the money thus swelling the post offices coffers.

They say all the money that the post masters paid would have gone in a holding account and when it wasn't claimed back would have just gone into the profits of the post office. Cunts.

agree but I really doubt is the establishment will for that sort of thing to happen - fear that it could start a run on that sort of thing runs through the establishment

Agreed but hopefully someone gets in there and looks at board minutes, emails, management meeting minutes etc, I am sure there’ll be some incriminating stuff if they care to look, but whether the establishment goes hard after the establishment is doubtful
