Refs get decisions wrong, its a fast game, they dont have video replays....they are human. Are refs corrupt in UK? No

If we play our game then it does not really matter who is ref.....we are becoming paranoid and looking for an excuse at every turn.

LETS GET BEHIND THE PLAYERS AND THE TEAM AND NOT GET DISTRACTED BY A REF FFS THEY SHOULD BE THE INVISABLE MAN!

There's a fair margin between corrupt and biased. I wouldn't think for a moment that an English ref has taken or been given some measure of remuneration for a favourable decision. The argument centres around the basis upon which Crappenberg operates. He clearly has a different method when reffing some teams rather than others. He DOES NOT apply the laws as they are written depending on the team in front of him. He 'leans' towards some clubs and punishes other immediately. Can anyone say, honestly, that he would send a MANUre player from the pitch after the fourth minute, whatever the infringement? Would Fabregarse be removed within the first five minutes? No, he would fudge the issue, award a free kick, arm round the offender, and possibly, but only possibly, waft a yellow if the fourth official is bellowin' down 'is ear. Wigan, Blackburn, Stoke, EFC, Wolves, etcetera, would feel the full wrath of this shitehawk. The oft used song 'Yer not fit to referee' was never more appropriate.

It is as clear as night follows day. The 'swings and roundabout' merchants will tell yer different, but after decades of watching City and refs, I am still awaiting our turn on the roundabout which matches the length of time MANUre have had!

Clattenburg has been reported to have stated his dislike for City more than once. Apparently it stems from the fact we don't give the officials enough coat hooks in their changing room and that they are 10 yards away from the entrance to the showers. Clattenburg complained and we refused to add additional hooks next to the showers.

Was this so he could hang his wig up outside once he'd washed it?

There was an incident last season prior to The Arse match. Crappenberg was doing just that - dumpin' a mountain of crap in the Referee's cubicle, found that MCFC had failed to provide him with four acres of tissue, and the bent bastard had to wipe his arse on his wig. Hence, the second the poor lad Boyata stuck a leg in, bingo. And since then, the refereeing equivalent of a corkscrew has made certain, when he could, that MANUre would benefit from his incommodious excursion behind the locked door of the officials' shitter!

Didn't realise he reffed Tottenham so much at OT. Explains a lot. I remember Spurs seemed to get shafted there every year for about 4 or 5 seasons.

Don't think it was Clattenburg but there was that time Utd came back to win 5-2 after Spurs were 2-0 up - the penalty that was never a penalty along as well.

Back on topic, I remember him robbing West Ham of 3 valuable points at Molineux earlier this season by ruling out a perfectly good goal late on.

I know all referees are human but this guy is a joke.

Crappenberg human? Doubt it!

-- Tue Mar 01, 2011 9:48 am --

Got an 8 month ban from refereeing for being bent as fuck, then came back with a fu head of hair. What a twat.
I heard that originally he'd painted two rabbits on his head, thought they looked like hares from a distance.

Anyway, he sees what he wants to see (Rooney) and doesn't see what he doesn't want to see (Adebayor).

And the dangerous thing is, that he's the one with the whistle. Had he reffed in one of the continental leagues he would have been fired off long ago.

i love that ref web site

here is my most hated - Walton, P
in the last 3 seasons we have only had him 6 times
Su 05Oct 2008 City 2 - 3 Liverpool
Su 21Feb 2010 City 0 - 0 Liverpool
We 24Mar 2010 City 0 - 2 Everton
Sa 27Nov 2010 Stoke 1 - 1 City
Mo 20Dec 2010 City 1 - 2 Everton
Su 27Feb 2011 City 1 - 1 Fulham

4 dippers games and 0 wins

1) zabaleta sent off for a soft 2nd yellow. no punishment for skrtel for his flying kung fu kick in jo's back. 10 man city lost to a last minute goal.

2) mascherano, already on a yellow, clatters into the back of barry on the byline. not even a free kick for a red card offence. iirc barry missed games due to his resultant injury.

3) the next home game & in the exact spot where the mascherano incident occurred barry cleanly dispossessed an everton player but walton gave a free kick from which everton scored. he also gave everton another very soft free kick just outside the area right on half time.

4) following stoke's injury time equaliser walton is seen waving & smiling at the stoke fans. wtf?

5) another shocking performance from walton who didn't give city a 50-50 decision all game but gave everton plenty of soft free kicks just outside the area.

6) his 'least worst' performance of the 6 but again pretty well all the 50-50's went to fulham.

i think i'm right in saying city haven't won a game with walton in charge since 2005.

Re: Clattenberg - The Dossier

Referees are often labelled corrupt by paranoid fans such as Arsenal who seem to believe the whole worlds agaisnt them, but Clattenburg is another story entirely. In the Goodison Park derby in the 2007/2008 season he took being a alleged corrupt referee to a new level. 1st half Everton are leading 1 0 thanks to an own goal by Sami Hypia. 2nd half corner for Everton, Liverpool break away Gerrard is barign down on goal but going away from goal and does he usual precision dive. There's a debate whether this is actually a foul. It was just in the box. Was it a sending off. Anyway he blows up then after a cheeky little whisper from Gerrard produces a red card. 1-1. Then Kuyt launches into a karate kick of Phil Neville which should easily be a red card. Then Liverpool get a 2nd penalty which fair enough was a great save by Neville. They score 2-1. Then in the dying seconds we have a throw in, goes in to the box Carragher produces a rugby tackle on Lescott and somehow doesn't give a penalty. Fats forward to 2010 Gomes clearly doesn't know what the referees given a puts his hands up to say that nobody had a clue what was goign on. A few seconds later Nani the diving twat puts the ball in the net. Clattenburg consults with his linesman and only lets Ferdinand speak to him then gives the goal. The simple reality is Clattenburg, if he was corrupt would never be outed as corrupt as imagine the aftermath even if it was true. It would prove that there was evidence of the premier league being corrupt which could have everlasting consequences. My opinion is that he has overstepped the line 2 many times and this incident a the weekend proves he's corrupt.

The issue as I see it is very simple:

1) If he said he saw the incident in full he is a liar; and

2) If he really does consider the "appropriate action" for an elbow to the head to be a laugh and a joke with the player who carried out the offence then he's clearly not fit for purpose.

I'm interested to hear whether or not he has actually watched the incident again on TV because it honestly wouldn't surprise to discover he has refused to.

Apologies if someone has already posted along these lines.

He has previous re Adebayor and Van Persil. He lied then (he claimed he did not see the stamp, thereby leaving the FA free to wade in).

Of course and that time he lied that he didn't see it.

All he had to do this time was say he saw a 'coming together' but has since seen it on TV and would like it reviewed as he didn't see the elbow. This is exactly what happened with the Thatcher incident and would have allowed the FA to take action.

By saying he saw the incident in full (complete fabrication) then that ties the hands of the FA. This is 90% down to Clattenburg. It stinks.
