It seems they are of broadly the same opinion as us. why wouldn't they be? They just want a fair playing field after all.
I agree with the general sentiment but shouldnt we wait wait for him to make a dodgy decision first. The last thing I would want is for him to put us out of the cup with a dodgy sending off or penalty out of spite.

Interesting article in Telegraph about Clattenburg today, sorry if its been posted elsewhere:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/8353791/Referee-Mark-Clattenburg-has-a-rich-talent-for-controversy.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... versy.html</a>
"...The row over Wayne Rooney’s blatant elbow on James McCarthy on Saturday — for which Clattenburg awarded merely a free-kick, a decision he yesterday maintained was the correct one, so preventing the England striker facing further punishment — is not the first of the 35 year-old’s decisions to come under scrutiny.
In 2005, when he had been refereeing in the Premier League for a matter of months, he failed to award Tottenham’s Pedro Mendes a goal at Old Trafford, despite replays clearly showing the ball had crossed the line by a considerable distance.
The following day, Fifa were forced to reiterate their stance against the use of video replays during games. Just six years after his debut in the Football League, Clattenburg’s ability to place himself in the eye of the storm was becoming clear.
His performance in a Merseyside derby in 2007 suggested that perhaps his development as an elite official was not yet complete. A series of hotly-debated decisions, including apparently sending off Tony Hibbert after consulting Steven Gerrard, and failing to award Everton the injury-time penalty that would have earned David Moyes’s side a point, attracted fierce criticism. The Football Association duly removed him from front-line duty for one round of games. Clattenburg has not refereed an Everton game since.
Even that match, though, does not represent the low point of Clattenburg’s career; instead, it is the eight-month ban he served after allegations emerged on the eve of the 2008 Community Shield, a game he was due to officiate, that he had sent a former business associate a threatening email.

The FA launched an internal investigation into alleged debts of almost £175,000 sustained when he ran two electrical firms and then, after receiving an anonymous letter, into his personal life. Clattenburg, who denied all the accusations, was initially handed a life ban, which was reduced on appeal. He returned to the Premier League at the end of the 2008/09 season.

He retains an ability to attract attention, however. Harry Redknapp labelled his decision to allow a goal scored by Nani at Old Trafford in November “one of the worst” ever made.

His handling of the Rooney incident, on the field and in his report to the FA, will hardly enhance his reputation..."

What reputation? He hasn't got one. He is an official oozing ill-repute! A total bloody incompetent.

clattenberg should be kicked out of the game, this twat being on a football pitch brings the game into disrepute.

if anyone can get on the villa forum and put it to there travelling fans we could all sing it.

cheat and liars like this bloke are changing results in games and can decide who gets promoted, relegated and who wins silverware.

it a fucking disgrace.

Like Phil Dowd in last years Carling cup final who refused to send Vidic off after 4 mins for a professional foul (against Villa)

exactly mate.

Careful what you post this man could be dangerous !

I'm of the same opinion that we shouldn't antagonise him until he gives us (another) reason to. However when he does, and on past performances it will be sometime tomorrow night, then it's got to be....

Who's the wanker in the wig
Who's the wanker in the wig.
