Mr. Jack Rodwell

Prior to today, i would have expected Rodwell to drop to the bench v Stoke with Garcia replacing him, but now i want Rodwell to partner Garcia, with Yaya playing behind Tevez and Dzeko on the bench. Rodwell was brilliant today.

You are all wrong. The press have decided he won't get a chance at City neither will Sinclair and we will ruin him and any future career he might have. Fuckers. Well done Jack keep it up.

Have been impressed with him in all 3 games so far, very composed for a 21 year old lad. Will only improve too, playing with the likes of Barry & Yaya....bright future.

Yep outstanding today but I would rather have him behind striker that's his most dangerous position for me if it's Yaya and Rodwell in front of back four Yaya's "only" weakness is he doesn't track the runners

A true understudy for Yaya. Physically he's got all the attributes and technically he's not far off. Probably not a popular view but for me he's a much better player than Nigel. He may not have the experience, but he's already much closer to being a complete player.

Early days of course but I've got very high hopes for him.

Spot on.

People are talking about him as competition for Barry, but he's more of a Yaya player. He's also played at centre back, defensive mid and attacking mid like Yaya too.

Both him and Yaya are wasted having to play in a 4-4-2/4-2-4, would much prefer to see them playing in a three with Garcia/Barry holding giving Yaya and Rodwell more licence to get forward.

Barry's defensive acumen and positioning are underrated - part of the reason we have looked leaky is because he isn't there. Rodwell isn't on that level yet but has the makings of a fine player indeed. Loved the runs he made with the ball to drive us forward. He has a lot in his locker and Mancini will get it all out.

This.

I do think rodwell played well today though, much more confident than the saints game and some important runs and one brilliant pass that should have brought a goal..

He is looking promising, just a slight negative was the one where he went on a good run but he did not get his end product quite right.

Javi Garcia is kicking them both out the team.

Isn't Javi Garcia a Spanish C team or something?

Do you know what Silva was before he joined us??

Silva only recently cemented his Spanish starting 11 spot and even that is shaky..

Being a Spanish C team player might not be a bad thing at all..

He looks so constrained sometimes. Hope Vinny has a word with him- just shoot!

Good performance today but needs to concentrate a bit more and pick up the pace of his paying at the right time. Learn that from Barry not Yaya!

For his age and important position he plays, he is an excellent young player and a brilliant long term prospect for the team we will have in a few year when Yaya leaves.

was great today. in only three games he looks like he belongs in the side.

stronger and taller than de jong, quicker than barry. very composed on the ball and brought it forward a fair few times today.

looking like an excellent buy, and his awareness and intelligence will only get better with more time with his teammates and coaches
