Stuart Brennan, your attempt to sweep under the carpet the cowardly attacks on City fans after the semi final is totally out of order.
I am certain you read the threads on here at the time and you can't continue to accuse everyone of being paranoid, the attacks are well documented.

Give it up, for fuck's sake. The world is bigger than this forum.

Woooh!! Dave watch out this ones for you http://shantytown.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/woman-slap.jpg

As well as spending most of my day off yesterday trying to answer stuff on here, you want me to chase up links as well?

The only thing I can say about that article is that it is a news article, clearly done by a news reporter who hasn't got much of a clue about football. he or she should have asked the sports desk.
But you think that the reporter deliberately left out Bell's other honours in a deliberate attempt to detract from City's past achievements?
It was a mistake, not some kind of grassy knoll.
Just take a look through other football forums - they are all full of paranoid football fans who think the media have it in for their club. Are they all correct, or just City fans?
We could sit here until kingdom come finding examples of perceived United bias or perceived City bias.

I thought the same thing. A lot of people on here have no understanding of how newspapers work. I would hazard a guess that not everyone on the Evening News even CARES about football. Get over yourselves everyone.

And I guess Brennan can't make this point himself since it'd involve admitting a painful truth, but if the quality of the MEN has fallen that's because the local newspaper industry is fucked. It's hardly his own fault.

And the Guardian media group ran down the paper over many years.

Today's MUEN has 6 consecutive pages from its back page backwards devoted to MUFC - the first four promoting Shrek's new book followed by two about Michael Carrick (admittedly this involved England as well).

You have to flick 8 pages in before there is anything in there about the champions - a half-baked story about the lesser Summerbee's thoughts on Scott Sinclar.

I'll leave everyone to draw their own conclusions.

Maybe there's just no news regarding city at the moment?

i wouldnt know, as I stop buying it, years ago. I dont even read the free copies left on the bus or given out in the street. Its owned by the Daily Mirror so that should answer your question why it is shit!

Biased I hear you say...just look on their website:

On the landing page, United are listed first:

On the football page, United are again listed first:

Hmmmm... Why is this? Are the teams listed alphabetically? Is it based on who are the current champions? ....nah they're biased as f*** ;)

Rags first, Rags second, and if there's another column inch, Rags again.
