Muffin or Barm

I wonder if it matters where abouts in North West you are from, those from the more Northern parts call it a Barm, whilst those from Cheshire call it a Muffin?

My daughter is in Nottingham (but home for Sunday) and spotted this outside her local.

I work in Brighouse - West Yorkshire.
On Fridays it's tradition to have a 'breakfast butty'...
The Yorky's order: toasted fruit tea cake with cheese!!!

I am also told they eat Christmas cake with Wensleydale cheese FFS!!!
The barmaids also eat their young...

Lol.......a schoolboy error on my part, you're right of course...my grammar may have let me down on this occasion but at least I'm not championing a non existent bread product.
