You see its comments like that that slightly weaken the "this is not the place" argument. Some good news today at least.
11 years? You only joined 8 years ago.Well if bluemoon is not the place to share your opinions then I guess I've been completely misusing the site for the last 11 years.
It's sad that you guys are talking about who the best is in a thread of a guy who just died. You should take it to the boxing forum mate, RIP the greatest sportsman ever.Sugar Ray fought 200 times, yes, TWO HUNDRED. And won 173 of them, 108 by KO. Before he started to dip he won 133 of his first 134 fights, 75 of his first 76 professional fights. He still went on to fight 60 odd times after that when he was past it, more than most fighters fight in their whole career, and still won most of them.
Not being flippant, just an opinion. I'm not criticizing the man himself, but the sport. I think boxing is nothing more than violence and encourages violence in others, particularly young people, I've seen evidence of that myself in the past. Like I said though, still very sad that he is no longer with us.
Perhaps a controversial comment, but I think Mike Tyson was the greatest boxer ever. Scumbag of a human being, but no heavyweight has ever dominated boxing in such a devastating fashion as Tyson imho.
