while i dont like it, a large marjority of city fans sing songs like this, i dont join in but there's nothing we can do as a fanbase to stop it unfortunately
Really? Not me or any of the people I go with.
I would say it's a minority, but a very gobby and persistent one.

perhaps i should change that to a large majority of our away support

the songs are generally not heard at home matches, at least where i am in the 3rd tier, but i hear them all the time away, sung loudly by many of those around me

Heard them at Blackburn away on the concourse and to be honest I was embarrassed. The atmosphere was cracking on the terraces, but that almost spoiled the day for me. I'm not one to get on my high horse and I'm not going to tell people what to do because I believe in free will and freedom of speech, but my opinion is that it is disgusting.

The munich air disaster was a tragedy and it had nothing to do with football. Also although many say that United have milked it, would any other club be any different? They practically lost their whole first team, we lost an excellent goalkeeper who was reporting for a crappy paper (News Of The World).

I know they mock Foes death but why should we lower ourselves to their standards? We're better than that blues. Why create a poor media perception of a club based on a few chants that were uncalled for? Thankfully it was the minority of "supporters". I know that they won't stop, I know these threads have been done time and time before, but I was embarrassed to support the same football club as people who find it so easy to mock the dead.

The 50th anniversary of the Munich Air disaster silence shown that we can and have been impeccable in the past. It would be a shame if that was a one off and a shadow was cast over it. We were there to support Man City, not hate the rags. Leave it for later this month and rip them for other things because that is crossing the line.

In other news I saw De Niro (Bill) at Blackburn and he looked like he had dropped a few pounds!

If that almost spoiled your day at a 4-0 away win, I`d seriously look at knocking it on the head, if I was you.

What used to " almost spoil your day " at away games when watching City was very grim indeed ?

ffs like an old record .... what were them cunts signing at leeds 2 week ago... it will never go away it gets handed down from generation to generation.. my lad just start high school and he's already signing it

Should you not have a word then, explain why it's wrong for him to sing it, so hopefully it will stop being handed down from generation to generation?

I'd rather sing songs about city personally....

the singing of that song and the like is a disgrace, just children who just wont grow up.

let united sing about istanbul, heysel and foe, let them look the pricks that they are.

we should remain above all that regardless whether a blue died or not.

we are manchester city and we are class, lets show it.

Seriously, why the fuck bother bringing this topic up? You may aswell run to Mark Ogden while your at it.

Eshiers is spot on - if you think the munich songs are song by a minority then you are mistaken.

I know its wrong no matter what people say about it being about how they exploited the disaster rather the disaster - thats nonsense, so I dont sing about it. Feel embarrassed about it to be honest but I just dont join in those songs.

Anyone who went regular to the games when this happened would now be a pensioner or very close to so 18 year olds singing about something they know little about doesnt bother me, it saddens me a little.
