Personal choice i agree,but if you have a desire to be the best you can be then alcohol has no place in an athletes diet.
Maybe. That said, there's some pretty damn good professional athletes on this list.

I particularly like the basketball player that is "known to drink Hennessey during halftime."

Each to their own certainly,but personally i'd always be looking for that extra 1% and alcohol definitely wouldn't provide it.

My point is while alcohol certainly wont prevent an individual with natural talent performing at an awesome level,IMO it will only be detrimental to that persons potential ceiling and in some severe cases,their careers and character.

As with anything though,as many a functioning alcoholic are testament,not one size fits all.

Drugs? while thats a whole new thread....
