Muric ‘sent home by Kosovo for turning up drunk’

An 'integral' part of their diet? Alcohol has zero nutritional or performance enhancing benefits, its effects on the body are only negative......so,in what way is it helping?

Cheers
Yes diet, as per the definition of the word.
Who said it was helping?? It’s about whether or not it has a negative effect and clearly it doesn’t if it’s handled properly..
All I did was give you a scenario where elite sportsmen consume a fair amount of alcohol and perform at the very highest levels in elite sport..

I think you will also find that beer can be very nutritional...But maybe not drunk in the quantities I’m alluding to..

Cheers and good day to you...!

Having retired from a long career where he performed better then arguably any other player even though he was a heavy drug and alcohol abuser.
Like i said, not one size fits all,but for most the negative effects of substance misuse far outweigh the positives.....even if it isn't immediately apparent.

The coke most likey helped him at the time, just as the PED's would have done.

All these great athletes who were/are alcoholics when they were at their peak, I just imagine how much greater they could and would have been, even 1% (if we want to take that figure) at elite level sport, is a huge margin.
