Come on let’s blitz the half century mark.

Still trying to decide which of about ten guitarists takes tenth place on my list. Current occupant does not have a big body of work (that may be a giveaway) so I'm not sure if to give the spot to someone who does but, which one!?

My top ten is in no particular order except first place. I couldn't ever work out a system to place them in series.
It was some exercise to pick just ten, let alone put them in order.
I named my son after number one so it had to be him taking first place :o)
If I did it on technical ability alone I'd have been screwed. Impossible.
It was a case of who really floats my boat the most with note choice, riffs ect, and feel.

Hasn’t anybody else heard Marcus King? He’s only 26 at the moment and if you like rootsy music like blues, soul, country and jazz, then he’s the man.His voice is equally as impressive as his playing too!Unbelievable talent, check him out.

Well surprised no mention of Django Reinhardt..Amazing story of him losing two fingers in a caravan fire somewhere on youtube...OK. not contemporary choice, but still amazing guitarist.
Tony Iommi lost the tips of his 2 fingers a few days before going pro with Sabbath on a metal cutting machine and was inspired by Rienhardt to find a solution and carry on playing. IIRC it was melted washing up liquid bottles or similar.
