I saw Beck Bogert and Appice at the Free Trade Hall back in the seventies.
Now that is cool.

Poll Update

177 nominations.
Come on let’s blitz the half century mark.
My top ten is in no particular order except first place. I couldn't ever work out a system to place them in series.Still trying to decide which of about ten guitarists takes tenth place on my list. Current occupant does not have a big body of work (that may be a giveaway) so I'm not sure if to give the spot to someone who does but, which one!?
Keyboards- I'll be honest, I wouldn't have a clue...Bass- will be a doddle..I have a little more confidence choosing my favourite Keyboard players as I can play the piano.
Otherwise the Bass is my favourite instrument.
Both Polls coming your way this year.
Tony Iommi lost the tips of his 2 fingers a few days before going pro with Sabbath on a metal cutting machine and was inspired by Rienhardt to find a solution and carry on playing. IIRC it was melted washing up liquid bottles or similar.Well surprised no mention of Django Reinhardt..Amazing story of him losing two fingers in a caravan fire somewhere on youtube...OK. not contemporary choice, but still amazing guitarist.
