Music Poll - Favourite Lead Guitarist see OP Closes Midnight today

Ffs another 2 I could have added Scott Gorham and John Sykes ( although better known with another band)..shit and another couple have popped into my head wow put this list up to 30 ..edit some good guitarists have been in Thin lizzy I’m slightly biased but Gary was head and shoulders above the rest, although to be fair he wasn’t in lizzy that long and if I’m right only did one album but teamed up with Phil on solo projects together..

My long list is over 100 now.

Plenty of wonderful lead guitarists. For sheer purity of tone, I'd put Mick Taylor in his great years very high. For depth of feeling, Peter Green would have to be in there somewhere. Stevie Ray Vaughan, too.
But there are guitarists. And then there is Hendrix. Rather like Charlie Parker in the field of jazz and in relation to alto sax — Hendrix invented a new instrument. Nobody knew that you could make those sounds with it, and more importantly, make them musical.
I could put together a list of ten in my sleep. I mean guitarists that I really really love. But I wouldn't put Hendrix in that list.

By the way, could I suggest that this should be open to acoustic guitarists, too? Al Stewart would get an honourable mention…
Nobody touches Bert Jansch.

None better, emotionally, and to say he was born left handed and played right handed, makes him
even more staggering,its all opinions.
no one come close to Moore for me.
Daft sod should have just flipped it like hendrix:-)

I like Gary Moore very much.
