Musical Groups/Artists/Bands you like, but know one else seems to.

These guys have been my favourite live band for years now. Pretty big in the States but probably not in the UK

Midnight Oil

Your not alone.....got every ep and album ever released ,awesome!

Tragically Hip.....not known here by many, but to be fair are as big in Canada as Oasis were here at their peak! Watched the last night in Kingston live on a screen in a garden ,couldn't get tickets for Toronto.

a few more

Semisonic

One top album at least, will have to dig it out...'Closing time' is first track, I think?

Those tickets were expensive mate. My wife had never seen them live so I had to buy a pair.

All About Chemistry is a good album, you're thinking of Feeling Strangely Fine.

as for The Hip, lucky enough to see them a while back in London at KOKO, such a shame they never returned to the UK.
Just ordered the DVD - Long Time Running, from the last Kingston show.

One of the greatest songwriters ever.

Does anyone outside America like any of these

Blue Cheer
Three Dog Night
Black Oak Arkansas
Moby Grape
Grand Funk Railroad

Black Oak Arkansas are dandy.

Grand Funk are definitely an American band. I once sat at the next table to Mark Farner in the restaurant of the Sheraton Music City in 1987.

Love Blue Cheer's version of Summertime Blues.

Not keen on Moby Grape and never listened to Three Dog Night.

Gruppo Sportivo - dutch band with lame zappa type lyrics

Stress - 90s British band with a touch of the Lenny Kravitz. Brilliant self titled album.

Mandala Band. Original early prog Sad Cafe based band. Went on to include Manchesters finest like 10cc, BJH and the Halle orchestra.
